It's the first of the month tomorrow - who is with me for a fresh start?!

At the beginning of lockdown I was 12st 12. I got down to just under 12 stone which is my target. I am ashamed to say I have put it all back on Confused

So, tomorrow starts with a run and healthy food choices from there. I want to try and shift a chunk of this before DS1's birthday on 30th July.

Hi @istheresomethingwrongwithme, I started back last Friday but looking for support and motivation too, so I'd be more than happy to tag along on this thread .

I'm 5 foot 4 and last Friday I weighed 11 stone 3 and a half pound.
My personal target is 10 stone for starters, that gets me back into a healthy BMI.

I'm doing slimming world now and trying to combine it with intermittent fasting some days ( 16:8 ), which I've never tried before.

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 01/07/2020 05:01

Morning @Designerenvy!

Well done for getting back on it already. I have been putting it off and putting it off. Every week I say I'll start on Monday, and for whatever reason it doesn't happen.

I'll weigh in every Wednesday morning from now on. I've just stepped on the scales and I weigh 12 stone 11.5lbs. I want to weigh 12 stone, so 11.5lbs to loose. I'm 5ft 6, so that will still give me an overweight BMI, but it's a weight I'm comfortable at and can reasonably maintain, so I'd be more than happy with that.

I'm trying to run 3 or 4 times a week, about 3.5 miles each time.

Today I'll have Wheetabix for breakfast as my B choice, I'll make some soup for lunch and we'll have chicken casserole for tea. Big shop on the weekend, so will get loads of speed fruit in then.

Good luck Smile

Hi @istheresomethingwrongwithme I think we were on the SW struggling thread I put on a while back but then life got stressy so I ended up not posting anything for ages! Blush I haven’t putting any weight on from pre-lockdown but I still have a lot to lose and have basically lost a few pounds over the last three months! Today has been another snacky day but I really need to pull myself together and plan my snacking a bit more I think!

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 01/07/2020 18:08

Hi @Perpetuallytiredzzz! Yes it's me from the 'struggling' thread. As you can see, I'm really struggling now! I might pop a message on that thread and see if anyone wants to join us on this new thread, it's gone a bit quiet over there.

Well done for not gaining during the stress, I wish I could say the same.

How has your day been @Designerenvy?

Mine has gone ok, was really busy this morning and didn't end up eating breakfast so had beans on toast for lunch and have a chicken casserole on for tea. Have snacked on bananas and cold meats but feeling starving! Hopefully my appetite will decrease as I get used to being back on SW.

Syns for me will be a skinny whip bar and some chocolate later on.

Hi @istheresomethingwrongwithme and @Perpetuallytiredzzz, I had a hungry day but stayed on track, it wasn't easy though.
Yesterday had too many carbs , so I wonder if that made me hungry today ?
I weigh myself on Fridays, so this will be my first since I started back. I really hope I lose something. I feel better in myself already, less sluggish, so that's good.

Designerenvy · 01/07/2020 21:19

Sorry, posted too soonBlush
Well done @Perpetuallytiredzzz for not gaining during lockdown, that's amazing .

You did well today @istheresomethingwrongwithme, but the hunger can be tough, that's where the will power comes in ( something I lack ) ....

I either go 100% healthy eating or 100% eating rubbish. There is no in between. I really want this to become a lifestyle thing and not just a diet ... I need to see the bigger picture !

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 02/07/2020 07:47

@Designerenvy that's me too, 100% good or 100% bad - there is no in between! I'm desperate to eat like a normal person, but I just didn't seem to be able to.

I'm off to meet some friends with their children this morning, so that will keep me occupied and stop me thinking about food for at least half the day! We've got spag bol for tea and I batch cook and freeze smallish portions of the meat sauce and then just add grated carrot, mushrooms and celery (or whatever I'm making it into) later. Works really well for spag bol, chilli, lasagne etc.

Hope everyone has a great day Smile

Thanks @Designerenvy I feel like I could have done better but then I think over the last year and how much better I am now than last summer - nearly 4 And a half stone lighter and so much fitter with running!
Today is feeling more positive for me, been in work this morning rather than just wfh for first time in months and the distraction was welcome! Had leftover chilli and pasta for lunch and debating having a coffee and skinny whip bar now Grin.
Also got out for a run, around 5k- my Fitbit is not tracking very accurately at the moment and had a total map fail today!
Hope everyone has a good day!

@istheresomethingwrongwithme good idea about the sauce, I do this when I make tomato pizza base sauce and have little bags in the freezer for toppings!

Room for another one....?

I started on Monday. First time on Slimming World, although have tried so many diets in the past, usually story of they work for a while then it goes back on. I’ve really gained during lockdown and now is the time to do something about it! I’m currently just under 80kg and ideally would like to get to around 60kg.
It’s been going on so far, did a really big healthy food order that arrived on Monday and have kept my meals interesting which I think helps. Have just sat down and meal planned for next week so hopefully will stay on track then....fingers crossed!

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 03/07/2020 19:47

Evening all.

How's everyone doing? I had a good day yesterday, no snacking and stuck to my planned meals. I was out with the boys all day today and although I packed a huge salad for lunch I was starving and ended up snacking on their crackers and Pom Bears. I should have taken fruit etc to snack on but don't have any in until we do our big shop tomorrow. Had cottage pie and vegetables for tea, going to try and remain in plan over the weekend.

Hi @DamitJanet! Welcome to the thread Smile

Hi all.
Welcome @DamitJanet, best of luck with slimmimg world.

I was working Thursday and Friday, so that's why I was absent . I was good those days and I lost 3 and a half pounds in my first week back.....yay !
Now, to celebrate i had crisps and wine last night .....probably not the best reward system to be fair, but i did enjoy themGrin

I had my 2nd strength and conditioning class today and I honestly feel I may not be able to move tomorrow, I'm sore already Blush!

I'm heading off for 2 nights tomorrow on a hotel break, God only knows how I'll do, but I'm going to try to not go too far off track .....I'll keep ye posted on that one Wink

@istheresomethingwrongwithme, pom poms aren't the worst , days out can be a killer ! Don't beat yourself up, start over tomorrow, it's all about moderation and we will all have good and bad days. It's what you do after the bad day that counts !

Onwards and upwards Smile

Perpetuallytiredzzz · 05/07/2020 16:08

Hi all hope things are going well over the weekend, I didn’t have the best day yesterday and I think it is something to do with getting hangry waiting for my tea 😂 better day so far today, did a 10k run(jog!) this morning and have made Chinese beef noodles in the slow cooker for lunches next few days - it’s a tried and trusted recipe! Think we’re having home made burgers for tea and I might make some salt and pepper wedges to have with them. Work tomorrow and I’m actually going in for the morning rather than at home so that’ll be a change of scenery.

DamitJanet · 07/07/2020 12:33

Completed my first week, have stuck to it completely and found it relatively ok, no truly bad days.
Weighed in this morning and have a loss of 2kg so thrilled with that!
Hope everyone is getting on ok?
