Joining local sw group - zoom etc

Morning

I've had an email from the sw consultant whose group I attended last year

It says for £2.50 a week I can join the group and have access to online services & the app as well as zoom meetings

Does anyone know if there's a long term commitment if I sign up and if you do have to do the zoom chats? I've got children at home who I'm trying to keep out the way of dh while he's working from home and not to sure a sw zoom will work with the kids around!

I've got my books out from last year but would like access to the app to check subs etc

We just pay each month for ours, no direct debit just a bank transfer. There are members of our group who don't use zoom just message the consultant and use the app so I'm pretty sure that you should be able to do this.

You don’t have to zoom.

I zoomed tonight for half an hour

You don't have to join the zoom group but would you want to listen without going on video yourself so you can get some encouragement & hints & tips?

It's going up to £3.75 in about 3 wks.

What do they actually talk about on zoom? Is it the bit that the leader usually does in body magic before going around the room?

Also does the whole group talk or just the leader?

Thanks!

Oh and has anyone ordered hi fi bars online? I did an order Saturday but no email confirmation has come through

First week we talked about our favourite kitchen gadget

Second week speed food

Last night was bbqs

It’s fine
Quite short, no clapping 🥳🥳🥳

I'm liking zoom no clapping. Consultant does talk same as she would in group - what's new, then a topic ours was ideas for breakfast. Then we have a chat about food, recipes. Anything people are struggling with. No obligation to speak.

I'm liking the zooms WAY more than the real classes! I'm happy to never go back! No more going around the room. She just picks a topic and it gets discussed for an hour.

I used to sit through the classes with gritted teeth, it was so boring.

HOWEVER there's 70 paying members in our WhatsApp and only about 20 attend the zooms, so if you don't want to that's fine!
