Hi! I joined back on Wednesday and need to be super dedicated as I'm on a trying to conceive journey too and getting disheartened!
Have stopped moving so much since lockdown so really need to push for my 10k steps a day again. Happy to keep track here and see how you're getting on!

Collision · 09/05/2020 23:31

@sausageface that’s exciting.

We can motivate each other xx

Dk20 · 10/05/2020 13:21

I rejoined on Friday after realising I'm the heaviest I've ever been Blush
I've started trying to eat sensibly already, I'm using the app to keep track of syns.
My exercise the last few days has been helping my ds to learn to ride his bike - it feels like it's been a good workout as my back and legs are sore.
But moving forward I def need to do regular exercise. 10k steps sounds like a lot but I could try it and see

sausageface · 10/05/2020 14:57

I can't decide if I think lockdown should of made things easier or more difficult for me in terms of weight loss, I guess there's pros and cons to everything isn't there!

I've just been and collected some hifi bars from my consultants doorstep so I'm pleased to have them back! Currently trying to do next weeks menu plan before my cut off for Tesco click and collect order and I just can't think of anything new that we haven't had recently!

10000 steps is definitely a good aim. I find if I go for an 50/60 min walk then I hit my steps and more some from the rest of the daily pottering, if you have a child I imagine your pottering is a lot more than mine so should be able to do less of a walk to get to your goal!! Well done on teaching your son to ride his bike!

Dk20 · 10/05/2020 17:12

@sausageface I really piled on the weight since I've been stuck at home, really regretting it now.

I have to order the hifi bars online but the shop is closed at the minute, I hope I can get them early in the week.

I'm loving the new SW app and going to be trawling through the recipes before I do my next shop.

Ok i just got out for a walk (50 mins) and my phone says I have now done 6000 steps today, but I dont have my phone all the time with me while I'm pottering around so I've just ordered a watch to wear. I think it will give me more motivation aswell - if it gets to evening and I can see my steps are low it might push me to get out for an extra walk.

Collision · 10/05/2020 22:38

D Day tomorrow

I need to weigh and send the details through before 10am......

2 stone off would be fabulous.

Let’s do it.

OP posts:
Dk20 · 11/05/2020 06:57

Good luck @Collision

I've got a message that was sent to the group saying we need to weigh in this morning, but considering I only started on Friday (and had Chinese on Friday night) I dont want to yet.

sausageface · 11/05/2020 08:23

Good luck both of you! I feel good for getting back on it - although frustratingly feeling a little run down with my glands up... just what I needed for week 1! Oh well, we'll see what Wednesday brings I suppose!

Are you both sitting in on the zoom meetings? I'm not sure I enjoyed it but it's very leader led, unlike group, so actually suits me better (I've never been a fan of the clapping, it takes forever!) but it's just a bit odd being on camera.

I set up an Instagram page last year which I try and update as often as possible now I'm back on track. I like it as, like here, it's completely anonymous so don't feel judged as no one knows who I am! Haha

I've just picked up the Tesco shopping so we're well stocked now, ready to take on the world!

Collision · 11/05/2020 09:59

I have weighed myself and have gained about 10lbs.

I’ve got 8 weeks prepaid so I really need to smash this and come out of lockdown looking hot!!!

🤣🤣🤣

OP posts:
Dk20 · 11/05/2020 10:23

@sausageface hope your glands aren't causing you too much pain.
I havent done the zoom meeting yet, I have an 11 month old and have been using him as my excuse so far, saying that the meetings havent co-incided with nap time 😂 but dont think I'll get away with that excuse forever.
Yes I agree there, when the cupboards are full of healthy food it's so much easier to make it through this.

@collision 10lbs isn't too bad and more than manageable in 8 weeks. I'm the same, my aim is to lose the weight before I go back to the office in August - will be WFH until then.

I weighed myself and sent the updated weight to my consultant - I've lost a pound (since Friday).

I'm thinking of investing in an omelette maker now to have healthy omelettes in the evening when I'm feeling peckish.

Collision · 11/05/2020 10:53

I’m contemplating an omelette now.

I have some pulled pork and salad I could have with it.

OP posts:
Dk20 · 11/05/2020 10:59

@collision that sounds delicious. I am terrible at making eggs - hence the need for an omelette machine.

I have rice cooking at the minute so will be doing a healthy chicken fried rice for lunch.

Collision · 11/05/2020 13:26

@Dk20 honestly all you need is a really good non stick pan and cook it slowly.

OP posts:
sausageface · 11/05/2020 16:24

@Collision 10lb is doable in 8 weeks so fingers crossed for you!

@Dk20 well done on your loss!

I'm only just starting to eat omelettes again, trying to train myself to not have it smothered in cheese which is my preferred way haha I had a tuna pitta bread for lunch with some cheese and some salad. Only syns on the Mayo

LuluJakey1 · 11/05/2020 16:28

I lost 3lbs last week. Exercise has been the key for me. 132000 steps last week and an average of 1460 calories a day.

Collision · 11/05/2020 22:55

I zoomed my class tonight and actually really enjoyed it.

Today I have had

Pulled pork omelette and cucumber
2 hi Fi bars
Melon
Pork salad
Yoghurt x 2 (3s)

Pretty good day

OP posts:
sausageface · 12/05/2020 13:38

Well done @LuluJakey1 on your loss this week!

@Collision looks like a good menu!
Today I grazed on fruit all morning and then just had a chicken salad wrap for lunch. I think probably homemade burgers and salad for dinner tonight.

I've got a syn tin- 5 syn sweet treats so I know I can just pop my hand in and not think about working out syns. Mainly freddos and rocky bars atm- go nicely with an evening cup of tea!

Collision · 12/05/2020 16:59

@sausageface syn tin is a good idea

Banana pancakes and melon
Yoghurt (1)

2 Aldi slim sausages (2) mushy peas and onion

Dinner is chicken curry cooked by ds. I will just use syns for it I think
Rice
Broccoli

OP posts:
Dk20 · 12/05/2020 17:07

O I def need a syn tin.
I had crisps last night, they were only 6 and a half syns so I was delighted. I really miss the sw bars, cant wait til I can get them again.

I had bacon and poached egg for breakfast, rice with peas for lunch and just had chicken curry for dinner. Put the curry into the syns estimator and it was only 3 and a half so I should be able to have a treat tonight too.

Going to get out for a walk in a minite

Collision · 13/05/2020 21:34

B....40g cereal, yoghurt and frozen fruits

L....2 sausages (2) spinach

D.....tagliatelle with peas and ham, 50g cheese (2)
Oranges
Lemon mousse (5)
Hifi bar (3)

OP posts:
sausageface · 14/05/2020 09:07

Morning! Forgot to update you that I lost 3.5lb this week. They actually have us weigh on a Tuesday now and zoom on a Wednesday (although I didn't join in last night) yesterday was a bit off with food- nothing completely off plan just I didn't really pay as much attention to adding my syns up if that makes sense? I've felt a bit off this week, like I could be brewing a cold or something you know? No excuse, just wasn't really feeling dedicated I suppose. Weighed this morning (I weigh every other day normally 🙈) and I've lost another pound and I'm back on track with my head (although still feeling a little off colour)

Just had a banana and tea then think I'll have a jacket for lunch I think today. Homemade chicken kebabs with salad and pitta and h/m tzatziki planned for this evening!

Collision · 17/05/2020 00:11

@sausagefaceWell done!

OP posts:
InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 17/05/2020 00:20

Can I join? I've put on 7-8lb in lockdown and then lost a bit so now about 5lb up. I'm rubbish at sticking to plan when working from home all day long as my snacks are now crisps and chocolate rather than fruit! Plus very little movement at all.

This past week I've been within my syns allowance 2 days, so that's actually a big achievement for me at the minute! Hopefully will stay on plan tomorrow too and your comments have inspired me to try to at least get my steps in every day to ensure I'm moving a bit more!

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 17/05/2020 00:22

My other big downfall is too much alcohol and then that leads to binge snack eating!

nuttymomma · 17/05/2020 03:14

After losing over 4.5 stone, I've put 0.5 stone back on and I'm really upset about it.

I can totally feel it. I actually feel physically sick today with heart burn.

I'm eating far too much and not eating low syn foods because its harder to find them in lockdown plus i don't want to be going to different shops to find each thing. I've been taking what there is on the shelves to keep my shop visits short and safer.

Need some tips to keep myself fit and healthy! I'm going to try to walk more and do more online exercises too.
