Slimming world consultants, how are you doing?

Hello, just wondering really how’s you’re coping during the lockdown in terms of keeping your groups going? Is head office contributing to your income now I imagine it’s dramatically dropped? Is it a complete nightmare? I’m trying to support my consultant by paying the £2.50 weekly fee even though I don’t really follow slimming world, I don’t attend the online meetings and don’t use the app or website and only really went weekly to keep myself motivated by having to stand on some scales and be held accountable for my weight gain/loss. Hope it isn’t as bad as I imagine

My consultant has quit.

I'm a member and I'd just paid for a countdown before lockdown, I don't want to do virtual groups and I just want my money back, both slimming world and my consultant are sending me round in circles. I feel bad they've lost income but they're keeping. Money for a service they're not providing.

I very much doubt the head office is subbing the consultants... aren’t they franchisees?

Mine told me SW were going to pay them 50% of their income, measured as at 1st week of March. Assume the £2.50 a week replaces that scheme.

I'm still paying full price as she's doing as much as usual, if not more.

I came out of my groups - I have the option to go back in when they’re actual groups again, but I might hand in my notice.

The virtual group thing is loads of extra work, for something that not everyone can access, and lots of people who can access it it just isn’t worth doing because they have other things going on just now.

Lots of consultants wanted to provide ad hoc support without a fee and aren’t allowed to.
