I'm about to start doing mine ( I go Thursday to Thursday) and I'm using this month's magazine for inspiration... I do eat a lot of highly spiced foods and low carbs as a rule though

Cordial11 · 01/01/2020 10:09

Oh please post when complete @pinkyboots1 - I think I do need to cut down carbs.

Hopping onto this thread as I always need some inspiration! Hope you don't mind OP 🙈 Planners- do you plan for the week? Or a few days?

pinkyboots1 · 01/01/2020 10:58

So this is the plan for next week. I'll add the snacks and syns into the table as I go along coz I like to use them for exactly what I fancy at that moment. The syns all tally up as I go so I can watch my total ( I use my Syns weekly not daily) I do use my other HEA if needed but not always.

Joining this thread.

I'm starting tomorrow as I'm back at work and have a big New Years Day dinner at my parents today.

I go on holiday for 3 weeks in a week but going to make healthier choices where ever possible.

Better to start now then in 4 weeks!

Cordial11 · 01/01/2020 12:42

I always plan my lunches and dinners for the week ahead - otherwise I am well off plan. Breakfast is usually porridge, weetabix or eggs and bacon depending on whether or not I am at work. Lunches are usually salad, soup or sandwiches (or a combination of all three) depending on my work pattern.

My menu plan for this week is -

Sat - turkey fricassee (I WILL get rid of all that turkey) with SW chips and spinach
Sun - minced beef hot pot with veggies
Mon - mushy pea chicken curry with rice (not tried this before)
Tues - pork chops, salad and baked potatoes
Wed - spaghetti carbonara with salad
Thursday - some sort of beef casserole with veg and potatoes
Friday - baked potato and salad or leftovers from one of the other meals

Cordial11 · 05/01/2020 14:17

I have never tried the mushy pea curry either, please report back Grin
Mmm hot pot sounds good will add that to the next week!

Lunches I tend to make batches of minestrone soup, tomato soup and orzo pasta salad.
I’m doing SW versions of the following dinners this week:
Burger and chips with Big Mac sauce
5 bean chilli and rice with salad
Gnocchi with roasted vegetables and salad
Chicken/quorn fillet with crispy new potatoes, green vegetables and marinara sauce
Pulled pork/jackfruit bbq tacos with salsa
Meatballs/veggie balls with spaghetti and salad

I've been a member of sw for 2 years, lost 2 stone in 6 months and have remained within my 3lb target limit since then. I found planning the week really helps, lunch and dinner, this week looks like this.
Mon- soup with added pasta
Jacket potato with beans and ham

Tues - mixed salad with couscous
SW fish pie (recipe in this months
Mag

Wed - soft boiled eggs and crisp breads
Spag bol

Thurs - beans on toast
Home made curry and rice

Fri - omelette
Gammon and home made chips

Sat - soup
Chicken in the maggi wraps and
roasted toot veg

Sun - SW version of a fry up
Roast beef dinner

Testarossa44 · 06/01/2020 13:15

*root veg, not toot veg!
