Hello, I've been a Sw member for 2 years and at target for 18 months. I thought staying on plan would be easy as I do find it 2nd nature now, but at nearly 7 weeks pregnant morning sickness has struck and I'm struggling SO BAD making the right choices, but also super scared about gaining excessive weight (I know I'll gain I'm having a baby, but I don't want to just gain for the sake of it 😂!) does anyone have any tips for Sw friendly morning sickness management please 🙏🏻 I literally just want potatoes, bread and crisps! Thank you xx

I would say just eat as healthy as you can but don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t wanting the healthy stuff straighy away.
Try to make sure you're belly isnt empty as I always felt worse when that happened.
Try diet ginger beer and sprite zero. Should help settle your stomach a little.
How do you get on with pasta? I found pasta salad and roast veg wasn't too bad but obvs everyone's different. It'll get better soon.
Ask people close to you for support if possible – for instance, if cooking is difficult due to food smells ask your partner to prepare some food for you.
In the really early days, I found smoothies really good for a quick filling breakfast, especially when I was really struggling with sickness. I used frozen fruit as it was better value for money! Remember to count your syns as, fruit blended carries syns! Icalled them “healthy syns” which made me feel better about using syns on fruit!

Thank you, I didn't get notified of these replies sorry for the delay! I just came on to post again! It's not been going well, I've felt sick as a dog unless I'm eating and then when I eat I've had beige (or chocolate 😂), I've gained 12lbs with Xmas on top too... I'm back to it now nausea is subsiding and I'm eating greens again yippeee! Determined to stick to plan going forward, pasta and roasted veggies sound great especially for works/to have made up in the fridge hungry days! Thank you! Hope you had a nice Xmas, happy new year x
