Really Struggling

I've been a SW member since 2015 and I have never made it to target. I came close in 2017 just before my wedding (was about 3 lb away). So I know the plan works.

I've rejoined a few times over the years and have never seem to have done as well as I di the first time.

I rejoined in Feb this year and did really well until I went back to work after maternity leave and since then I keeping gaining and losing the same 3 lb.

I most recently rejoined in October and I'm heavier now than what I was when I started.

I literally can't seem to stay on track and its really getting me down. I know this plan works as I've done well before, but for some reason I am really struggling this time round.

Anyone got any tips/advice etc...I dread how heavy I will be by Christmas if I carry on like this.

I have a similar sw story. Critics of the plan say that once you come off plan the weight goes back in, well that’s pretty obvious with any weight loss regime ! Even basic healthy eating plans.I believe in SW as I think it is based on healthy eating principles, no food is “ banned” , so you don’t crave or feel deprived.I had a look at the “Eatwell Plate” devised by the NHS I think and it roughly equates to that.

I think at this time of year it’s obviously hard to stick to plan, but think how good you will feel if you do! List all the ways that you can help your weight loss,
.lots of walking outside in the fresh air
.taking the stairs
.short exercise dvds , you tube etc ( try Leslie Sansones One Mile Walk ...to do inside).
.dont reward yourself with food treats
.instead of a meal out, go to the pictures .or just for coffee....or maybe an outdoor picnic.!

I find being active firstly distracts me from eating ,but also if I have put effort into moving more, I don’t want to ruin it by eating rubbish.

Planning meals is obviously key..you know all that! Why not treat yourself ( for the cost of a crap bottle of wine) to one of the lovely SW cook books, sit down with a low cal hot choc and close some lovely, filling meals, make a list and then stick to it.!

Good luck ( and I hope that I practice what I have preached this week!)

If you join now and really stick to plan for the next 2 or 3 weigh ins you could potentially lose half stone by Xmas day . Eat lots of healthy fruit and veg and makes soup . Cook some bolagnese or curry’s and you can do this

Ultimately if you don't stick to it it's because fundamentally you don't wish to. Basically you'd rather eat whatever when it comes to it, than eat something that's from slimming world.

So maybe it's time for a me woe. Low carb, intermittant fasting, whatever. Or accept you're not in that mind set yet, leave it be till you are.

Sorry for disappearing...got a sick toddler at home at the moment!

@Bluntness100 you're probably right...I think I want to stick to it and do a plan and then I have 1 bad choice and it flies out the window, so I guess that is my way of saying I'm not ready to follow it properly.

@Mrsgandy I'm still a member, but paying to be told I've gained weight is getting me down but I know I need to keep going. Think I just need to take it 1 day at a time.

@bossybloss I do short walks every day (probs about 20 minutes) and I try to take the stairs at work when I can. I get more exercise on Friday as that's a non working day for me. I have some of the cook books at home and really need to start using them!

Thank you for offering advice! I'm going to take it 1 day at a time and go from there.
