I've got into a really bad habit of having treats after weigh in each week. Does anybody else do this? I really need to stop Confused

Have something non food related as a treat instead. Once you're out the habit itl be easy but I know it's hard.

I tend to keep my meals syn free so I have syns for treats.

I weigh in the evening and behave as if it's a normal day- I.e three meals including dinner before the meeting.

You can have treats but the whole point is to change your eating habits for good not just 'diet' and go back to bad habits.

I tend not to....I am usually really good just after weigh in on a Tuesday but then that trails off a bit near the end of the week.

I used to get weighed on a Saturday which was no good for me as I always treated myself that evening!

A non related food treat is a good idea. I know that's exactly what I do. Go back to bad habits on a Monday night....is not a good idea. I need to try and maintain a good level of healthy eating all week. I keep thinking of it as invisible time so it doesn't count Hmm

I think most people do this too, which is why you see so many threads on how slimming clubs are a rip off and a waste of time etc.

For the concept to work people need to stop seeing it as a diet to stick to while try to loose weight and see it as a life long change to their relationship with food.

It isn't a diet it's a way of life. The odd treat is fine but 'falling off the wagon' after weigh in because it's 'invisible' time means you haven't made that mental shift in perception yet.

It is hard. Dh brought Krispy Kremes this weekend- they are all over my 15syn allowance. I'm still trying to reconcile the fact that, right now I'm trying to loose weight so eating one would be off plan but that when I reach my goal I can't just go back to eating several and expect to not jeapadize my weight.

Yes I do and I look forward to it because it's something I enjoy. I don't feel guilty about it and I've accepted that's it's actually perfectly fine (for me) to do this after weigh in. I forget about it the next day and carry on as normal.
