Does anyone have an instant pot?

Do you have any favourite SW recipes?

Im doing chicken and rice, hopefully fairly simple 😬😬

DeltaAlphaDelta · 19/07/2019 17:25

I used too much water, but it came out great! Rice was the best I have cooked in ages, and the chicken was soft like it had been in the slow cooker all day. First impressions are good! 😀

Have boiled eggs and made soup. Thinking about a curry for tea.

I did a roast chicken tonight. Covered in season all, sauted on both sides then 25 mins at high pressure with natural pressure release. Was so tasty and just fell off the bone!

Instant Pot brilliant for risottos, which are SW friendly.

I am also loving the recipes on the Slimming Eats website, and various of those have instructions for the Instant Pot and/or are free or low Syns.

Made this last night in the Instant Pot - delicious (although I would suggest going a bit easier on the paprika than recipe says, plus I used a tin of butter beans rather than baked beans).

(Leftovers have been made in to soup for lunches this week.)

This recipe was lovely too: www.slimmingeats.com/blog/chicken-sweet-potato-and-lentil-curry

Am going to try the Beef Dhansak this week too, but all the recipes I've done so far from the site have been delicious.

@Whitney168 thanks for the recommendation- I did the chicken and baked bean casserole today and it was delish! Used baked beans but next time would use half the amount of stock as it was really runny. Used thickening granules and they worked a treat!

Glad you liked it.

My latest new recipe try in the IP is the Campfire Stew that everyone raves about. Should come up on Google.

I did BBQ ribs. The meat fell off the bones. Great dinner.

Will attempt a cheesecake next.
