SW while ill?

I'm in week 1 and was recovering from a bug (I thought) but actually have got really quite ill again, fever, the works. Been signed off work for at least a week.

I've got sensible food in the house a husband that can cook it, is ok to stick to the diet while I'm ill? When I did 5:2 it said not to fast while under the weather, I'm not sure if its the same for SW as the food is generally pretty sensible.

Thoughts?

It's just eating a varied, healthy diet. You will be fine, and if anything it might speed up your recovery. Your alternative would be junk food, surely, so that won't do you any good.

The reason you're advised not to fast when ill is that you would be depriving your body of much needed food to help you recover.

I just eat what I can manage. I aim for speed foods and my healthy extras.

Thanks guys, that's helpful. I'm just not up to much and my DH sometimes insists on getting a takeaway or a ready meal when it's his turn to cook and I usually say yes. Might push him just to cook some nice pasta.

Yes, stick to the plan, as it's a sensible diet.
Might help you feel better and stronger bit sooner.

a bit sooner
