Sliming World whilst pregnant

I have been doing slimming world for a while but not been going to clubs for ages. I am early pregnant and want to keep up with it as I feel the principal of large portion of plate salad/veg etc is a good one... is the plan any different when pregnant?

I came off it when I was pregnant but I think if you speak to your meeting leader they can tell you how to adjust it while pregnant or nursing I’m sure they have a way to do it - I think you have more healthy a and b extras but not sure exactly. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Given that you can eat loads and it encourages a healthy, balanced diet I can't think of a reason why you can't continue.

I found out it I was pregnant a month after joining slimming world! I'd lost almost half a stone by that point and I lost just over half a stone while in the early stages of pregnancy. I called it target as by then I was in my healthy BMI range (at the top end).

I kept going right up until the day before DD was born! I started of at 9st 9lbs. Got down to 8st 8lbs. The day before DD was born I was 10st 5lbs. When DD was about six weeks old I was back to my pre pregnancy weight of 8st 8lbs.

Then I stopped going and got complacent and went back up to 9st 12!

It is - my booklet says there is a simpler version for you to try. SW recommends that you talk to your midwife.

I would recommend that you go to a group just once to get some good advice on how it can be adapted.

I know it can and it's a good diet while pregnant - one of the reasons I chose it, as I'm TTC so I'm hoping to lose a bit of weight before (if) I get pregnant, and maintain a healthy weight during

Slimming world is perfectly safe during pregnancy. Speak to your consultant. You should get a pack for your midwife which has a chart in it they sign when you see them. I believe you're allowed a bit more of the healthy extra but can't remember which now!!
