Hi

I’ve done slimming world before a few years ago an it took me 15 weeks to lose half a stone, I was told this was due to having thyroid issues.
I am going to be a bridesmaid next year and would like to shift a stone and a half but it doesn’t seem to be budging at all
My coach think I’m not eating enough as I’m always hungry
My average day is
Porridge and fruit for breakfast
Salad with either pasta rice or meat for lunch
Fish potatoes an mixed veg for dinner
Snacks yoghurt an fruit
Treat can be something like a mousse biscuits or ice cream (not every day)

I’d really appreciate any tips or advice as it’s really getting me down as I’m trying really hard

Thank you Smile x

You need to work out your calorie intake. Log everything you eat and drink on the My Fitness Pal app.

I find protein fills me up better. Things like scrambled eggs or omelettes for breakfast.

I'd also log everything you are eating on my fitness pal. I'd also work out your tdee and what you should be eating when you are cutting calories. You could be over eating things like pasta. I personally prefer ww as it is making me make better food choices I don't believe things like pasta and rice should be ever seen as "free foods". Also the fact you could eat a massive breakfast with the free foods and eat hundreds of it and say oh that was free. It doesn't change mentality enough for me to eat better but ww has. I also use my fitness pal too to log everything I eat and keep a track of my calories and macros.

Are you drinking enough water, sugar free squash? Are you physically active? Have you had you thyroid issues medicated?

I'm in the same boat op. 6 weeks in and I've only lost 5 pounds. My SW consultant has gone through all my food diaries and had a chat with me. I've sent her photos of my meals and she says I'm doing it all correctly. I'm 17 stones so it should be falling off me surely? I'm fed right up.

What do your portion sizes look like? Do you weigh your porridge?

Post pictures of your lunch and breakfast

I don’t have a thyroid so don’t produce thyroxine at all, lots of cardio has helped (think this is really important with hypothyroidism) and I’ve stick to 5 Syns or less for most of the week. I’ve lost 13ilb in 8 weeks
