At target

Hi all. I do slimming world at home on my own. I recently reached my target of 6st7lb loss. Just wondering how to maintain it? Thanks if anyone can help xx

Hi @Starfish25
I reached target nearly 11 months ago. Slimming World brought out new target plans in July last year.
They advise upping healthy extras such as b choices and A choices and using savvy syns for things like avocados, nuts, olives etc.
I tend to food optimise and add in maybe a sandwich for lunch one day, and maybe a cake when out for coffee.
One thing I have learned is the 6lb bubble is there because weight does fluctuate. One week I gain half a pound next week I lose 2lb. I used to get so stressed when I didn't need to.

Thank you for replying. What are savvy syns? Are they extra syns? I didn't think it would be this confusing after losing the weight haha xx

They're the usual syns but used on healthier fats like the foods above.

I’ve crashed through my target twice in the past 2 months, I really struggle to maintain and continue to lose weight. I cannot change the way I look at food now and adding extra syns on the new plan freaks me out! I’m being monitored now. Y my consultant due to my continual loss, she has given me a task to gain weight this week! OMG!!! Is there something wrong with me? Maintaining is so much harder than when I started to lose x

I find maintaining really hard. I kept losing and going out of target by falling below. Now I follow plan but have extra healthy extras and enjoy a cake in costa if I am there or not stress about a meal out. I know I have a gain this week but it was a family wedding and a few nights away. Back on plan now so can lose it next week.

Weighed in this morning and have put a lb on not surprised as was my little boys birthday then Valentine's the next day, didn't go crazy but did have cake both days 🤤😂 I am finding it hard atm, an it really doesn't help with family saying to me "oh your done with losing weight just have it" if I start thinking like that again all my hard work won't have been worth it x

I find keeping properly on track in week plus regular exercise is the key to keeping it off without feeling like your on plan all the time. Half a stone to get back to target for me (kept it off 3 years then injury put me out of action for 6 months and I gained 1.5stone )
