SW oven chips in Iceland

What do we think of them?
Bought a bag to try, and thought they were just okay for something quick.
But I thought that the combined brains of SW product development folk could have come up with something better.
DH's SW chips remain unsurpassed.

I’m not keen, they taste very bland and cook unevenly in the oven as they’re all different shapes and sizes. I use them in the actifry with a tablespoon of garlic infused olive oil (6 syns a tablespoon) and some smoked paprika seasoning, they are passable like this. But not something I would actively choose to have. Shame though as I love chips. But yes, very disappointed.

Are they syn free?

Meralia · 27/01/2019 16:22

Yes.

How can they fuck up chips?

Although, after trying their sausages early last year, I'm not surprised they are rank.

edgen2019 · 30/01/2019 17:29

Have tried them, but not very impressed.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 31/01/2019 18:27

I tried them but prefer the ones I make myself.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 31/01/2019 18:30

I like them. They taste like the ones I do myself but are good for convenience as can just throw them in the oven if I haven't got time. I drown them in salt and vinegar though.

Tjzmummabear · 31/01/2019 20:59

I like them x

noodlenosefraggle · 02/02/2019 19:06

Hmmm they're OK. I agree. I can do them better myself. The SW meals seem to try so hard to be syn free that they are just disgusting. If they used 1 or 2 SYNS, I'm sure they would be 100x nicer.

I don't think they are that bad. During the week I really don't have 50 minutes to make chips myself so I find them a big help. Does anyone know how long they are likely to be around for.
