Hi, I have a good friend who is just about to start slimming world but hasn't yet so doesn't know how it works. Neither do I these days, though I did do it for a few months decades ago. She and her kids are coming over for dinner in a couple of weeks. I thought I would like to do something that will fit the plan if she's started it.

I'm currently planning sausage and mash for the kids. For myself, I do myfitness pal so in theory at least I will have a sausage plus a huge pile of veg (prob panfried onion and red cabbage with spices, and some leaves of some kind, maybe some roast or grated carrot). For pudding I might just do fruit salad or something.

Wiill that allow her a decent day on SW?

Heck sausages are low in syn. My favourite are chicken Italian at half a syn each or spring chicken are 2 for half a syn. You could make mash with an egg (raw) mashed it. Makes it very creamy.

If you want to make something everyone will maybe like I recommend Cheeseburger Pasta from the Slimming Eats Blog.

Meringue nests are roughly 2.5 syns. I topped them with sweetened quark and add raspberries and blueberries on top.

That's really helpful, thank you Groovee. Will I be breaking any rules if I ask roughly how many syns she is likely to be working with daily? I mean are we talking 4 or 10 a day?

Everyone gets at least 15 syns per day. If you're male, over 16 stone, or breastfeeding you do get slightly more.

Thanks again Groovee, the Heck chicken Italia sausages went down a treat! I did mashed potato just with skimmed milk and a bit of cooking water - it was really nice - and panfried the red cabbage with onion, mushroom and spices. I did a whole load of sprouts and some carrots. We had a good time Smile
