I'm 19 (20 in feb) and weigh 11st9.5 and have lost 5.5lbs so far.

My target is 9 stone and I want to be there by the time I go to australia in june.

I run 3+ times a week and will be doing park run on saturday and hopefully doing it every week.

I also do 16/8 intermittent fasting.

I don't know why i've developed this sudden fear. It wont stop me but i want to be prepared.

Ta x

I started at 12st 6 and got down to 9st. I wouldn't say I had loose skin. I'm 40ish and had 3 pregnancies, so my stomach is a bit soft, but other then that I'd say I'm ok. You are really young so I doubt you will have problems!

No not with that weight loss I'd imagine. I think the loose skin happens with very big loses. I've lost two Stone before and was very firm!

It all depends on the elasticity of your skin :)

I think you’ll be fine love, I was 11stone now 8.3 stone and no loose skin. Take your time (no super crash dieting), moisturise and do exercise. Good luck- youth is on your side

Fasting is shown to really prevent the loose skin problem

If you extend your fast once a week, you really might prevent it happening

I didn't have loose skin in 2005 when I lost weight but I was roughly the same as you wanted to be. After going up to over 16st, I do have loose skin this time and I am 12 years older.

Thanks for all your replies. Unfortunately the only form of intermittent fasting I can do at the moment is 16/8 (could stretch to 18/6) due to medical reasons.

I reckon my losses will slow right down anyway to 1-2 lbs a week.

This week I will have had four days without levothyroxine so I'll probably have gained a stone anyway 🤪
