Green day's

Hi everyone. Ive been doing extra easy for 2 years I've lost 2.5 stone. For the last 10 months I've been at a standstill but over the last 6 weeks I've put on 5lb. My weight was fluctuating by 2lb. Ive not been cheating honestly. I cannot shift the last stone I need to lose. Believe me I've tried everything possible within the slimming world eating plan. I've changed my meals I've had different breakfast, lunches and main meals and varied them. I've done sp, I've eaten more, I've eaten less, I've cut down on fruit as I do eat far to much believe me. I'm losing faith now. I'm 54 and yes I'm starting the menopause but surely if this is why I'm gaining weight it's not fair. My only option is to go back to Green days. 12 years ago I lost 5 stone with this plan. I kept my weight off for 8 years. I moved home to another county and changed my job. I gradually started gaining weight. This is why I went back to group. I've asked my consultant about green day's and they said give it a go if you think it will help but remember the changes to As and Bs, what you can have and cant now now the plan has changed to extra easy. They haven't any old books so I've tried on Amazon to find one but I'm having no luck. There are plenty of recipe books but they don't give the daily plan and allowances. I've forgotten the plan. I know the basics but would love to know the exact plan. This is my only option now. Can anyone please help me. I don't want to be a traitor and go to another plan. I find all the other plans starvation diets. I do have a big appetite so SW is the best for me. 🤪❤️

There's red and green day groups on Facebook.

My friend was veggie so did green days but she struggled after surgery and I suggested she do red days and it kick started her losses. She had quorn in place of meat or fish, 198g of potatoes and the speed veg.

Thank you Groovee unfortunately I don't do Facebook or Twitter, so hopefully someone can help me on this thread. Have a nice day 🤗

Have you tried doing SP days?

Paddykebab · 07/11/2018 11:26

Yes I did mention I done sp days. 6 moths ago I done it for 2 weeks and l lost 3lb I thought hmmmmm this is working so I continued for another week, i lost no more that week I thought ok I will continue. I done sp dor for 12 weeks and lost 3lb.My consultant said sp is only a kick start not something that should be continuous. I went back to extra easy. As ive said my weight now goes up and down every week. This time last years i was 8lb lighter. My plan is

Breakfast. 40g Porridge made with a100ml milk and water. 2 teaspoons of canderel. 1 apple and a cup of black coffee.

Around 10am I have a cup of hot chocolate. Asda or Sainsbury's low fat which is 2 syns. I don't like options.

Lunch A big bowl of salad with left over meat from the night before. Beef chicken pork gammon. I use hellmans fat free vinagerette dressing.
or
Couscous with added spices i add roasted vegetables and left over meat.

Dinner. A slimming world ready meal with veg
Or
An omlette and salad
or
Chicken and vegetable soup with added rice.
Or
A slimmimg world curry, chilli, Bolognese, home made
Or
Slimmimg world sausages/burger with a bannisters jacket potatoe with beans mushrooms and tomatoes.

Every evening i have a big bowl of frozen mixed fruit topped with a muller lighr yogurt.

Around 8pm I have another cup of hot chocolate( the same one) 2 syns and a hifi bar 3 syns.

Throughout the day i eat fresh fruit and drink black coffee.

That's it.

Where am I going wrong. If someone tells me its my age or the menopause I'm sorry I don't agree I've seen plenty of women my age going through the menopause who lose weight every week. Im not on any medications Ive got nothing wrong with me I walk with my dogs every morning for 1 hour and 30 minutes in the evening. I need some advise someone please help. All I can do is green day's as I know it will work fingers crossed so if anyone has a green Day plan please share it with me. If this don't work I will hit the wine, nuts, crisps and donuts to cheer me up and grow old and overweight knowing I did try 100%😂😂😂

I cut out hifi bars as syns as I really struggled to lose when having 1 a day. I find I maintain if I use them as an HEB as I can have 2.

I'd maybe try mixing things up. I have different HEB's daily too. So one day I might have porridge but the next day have ryvita fruit crunch for supper topped with bananas and strawberries. I would have fruit with yoghurt for breakfast or an omelette or scrambled eggs with ham, spring onion and spinach.

Your body maybe needs a wee shake up food wise. I find trying new recipes can help on the weeks when I want to lose rather than maintain.

Groovee · 07/11/2018 12:40

Oh and if I want to lose, I need to have at least 10 syns a day or else I don't lose.

halfwitpicker · 07/11/2018 12:44

Would you consider a change of tack and go low carb?
