I really want to start slimming world but it seems like alot of faffing? Or does it look more complicated than it is?

It's as easy as any other eating regime.
You can cook amazingly complicated meals from scratch every time.
Or you can do a basic pasta or baked potato.

Very little needs to be weighed or measured, so easy in that sense.

Nothing magical to make you avoid the crisps / wine / chocolate / whatever your indulgence is 😜

I think it's as easier or as complicated as you make it.

I plan my evening meals and do a shopping list round that. Lots of veggies and speed fruits to snack on.

I used to look at recipes and feel they were very complicated. But I've realised most are easy and straight forward it was just me.

I haven’t found it a faff. They advise you vary your meals but can still be simple stuff. I just keep track of where I’m going to use my healthy B choice, either breakfast or lunch. Easy things I pick from are

Breakfast:
-overnight oats with quark and frozen fruits.
-scrambled eggs and bacon
-2x Weetabix with banana

Lunch:
-lentils with garlic, chilli, red onion & coriander
-chicken salad
-omlette
-crackers with cheese spread & marmite and hard boiled eggs
-sandwich with wholemeal bread

Dinner
-Fish and vegetables
-Bolognaise/chilli with courgetti
-Chicken & veg curry
-Jacket potato with beans and cheese
-Pasta dish

Snack on fruit, cheese from Healthy A, hot drinks

Not complicated once you find easy things you don’t mind eating. As said above you can make it more of a faff trying out new recipes from the website etc if you are bored. But I tend to just adapt recipes I already use, generally just by switching from olive oil to spray oil (like Frylight) and replacing some of the meat/carbs with extra veg. Eat a LOT of crispy kale!

Bit of a faff to get your head round at first but after a couple of weeks you soon get into the swing of it.

And it does work provided you follow it properly and are make sensible choices (understanding that unlimited pasta will not help you lose weight).

I lost 3 stone. Good luck Smile

It is complicated when you first start, but you will get to grips with it after a week. You need to be very patient when you start! You will get frustrated and it will get time consuming at first when you check out all the syns, speed food, healthy extras, weighing and measuring etc., then after a while, it's like water off a ducks back! You can do it. I almost gave up on it. I even emailed slimming world demanding a refund because I felt so overwhelmed (turns out I was not even eligible for a refund lol) but I'm so, so glad I stuck it out and put in the hard work because if I didn't, I'd probably be even heavier than I was a year ago (I've lost 4st so far).
