Syns in Aldi fishcakes
coralush · 16/08/2018 15:53
Anyone know the syns in these?
Thank you!
coralush · 16/08/2018 16:04
Is it the calories divided by 20? If so that makes these 15 syns each... 🤦🏼♀️.
Oh well, I will just have to have half of one.
I read somewhere Aldi syns were low in calories I must have picked up the wrong ones.
florriepeck · 16/08/2018 19:23
Looked on SW website, and these are 7 and a half syns each.
That rule about 20 calories being equivalent to 1 syn only applies to items where there is no free food allowance, eg salmon and potatoes, I imagine, in the fishcakes.
coralush · 16/08/2018 20:03
Aww brill thanks so much for checking, I am doing SW by myself so don't have access to the site. I only up having half of one in the end, so have missed out on half a fishcake! but saved on syns I guess.
I have some more in the fridge so will enjoy a whole one next time.
Cheers x

The Morrison's Salmon, haddock and COD with cheese in the middle are 2 syns each.
coralush · 16/08/2018 20:35
Oooh thanks Groovee, they sound even nicer. 7.5 syns for a fishcake a lot when I can get one for 2 syns. Will stock up next time I am near Morrison's.
florriepeck · 16/08/2018 20:44
Guessed I would be too late for your tea, OP!
I would be distraught if I had missed out on half a fishcake.
Slimtimeagain · 16/08/2018 20:51
I've never been able to find the Morrisons ones that are low in syns.
coralush · 16/08/2018 20:52
Haha I am a bit gutted not going to lie! 🙈
I hope I am rewarded on the scales next week....
coralush · 16/08/2018 20:53
I've just had 2 mikados to get over it, so all is not lost!
WooYa · 16/08/2018 20:56
Are you on pinchofnom on Facebook? It's full of people doing SW from home.
There's also a group called 'syns allowed' which can give you syn values on food.
