I have previously done slimming world 3 months ago and lost a stone however due to becoming homeless 😭 I stopped and only now have me and my daughter got a house and back on our feet I want to get back on it.

So what I'm wondering is..

Does anyone have low budget ideas?
Ways to stay on plan when having extremely low/high anxiety days?

I feel disgusting I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror I only want to lose about 3 stone but I want to do it to feel better about myself.

Thank you x

I have a chronic health condition and I often freeze left overs for days I just can't function.

Lentil Dahl if you have a slow cooker from 2 chubby cubs is quite a good cheap recipe. Makes 6-8 portions.

I buy 5% mince from Iceland which is £5 for 900g and would do a few meals for the 2 of you. Cheeseburger pasta from Slimming eats is an easy one pot recipe. Your main expense would be the cheese. I just divide the recipe ingredients by 4 then times by how many I need.

I find having things like broth mix and lentils in the cupboard helps for soups.

I also have herbs and spices in my rack. It is a big expense but Aldi does them at a good price and I often buy Asda's own too. Oregano, mixed herbs, lazy garlic, paprika, cumin, ground coriander Cajun spice, jerk spice, black pepper, curry powder and sea salt are my go tos.

Iceland also sell a big bag of cooked and sliced chicken for £5. I find it great for Cajun chicken pasta, curry, chicken noodle soups.

Rice/pasta/cous cous are in my cupboard too.

Pinch of Nom have some good recipes for on a budget. Slimming world have some quick and easy recipes. I like quick vegetable risotto and chicken jambalaya is good too.

Good luck, feel free to come over to the support thread for any help x

I also use a lot of frozen fruit. I quite enjoy eating a bowl of frozen fruit as a wee snack. X
