Millilitres and grams

So I know ml is for liquid/volume and g is for weight but when I googled it,it said that they weigh the same and my scales have a ml option and that measures it the same.

So walls low fat ice cream is 3 syns for 100ml and I only just looked at the tub and it says 1800ml but only 800ish grams....

I think I've been having too much ice cream so just wondered if there was any rule for the weight of ml and how they match up to grams at all?

1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram.

Nothing else will convert directly due to different densities.

Someone weighed out all the halo ice cream and then split it up into 4 portions and I think it was about 68g for a portion. You might have to do something similar x

It would be 54 syns for the tub, if that helps?
