Hungry

Hi so I joined sw last week and despite being told I won't be hungry, I am. This is what I've eaten for today, would anyone mind having a look and telling me if yes I should be hungry or no I'm just greedy. Ps I'm currently v overweight.
So I've had, a 2 egg omelette and 2 slices of light wholemeal toast, 4 original ryvitas with individual tin of tuna and lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and cucumber, a fat free yoghurt and a kids size banana.
I will be having dinner in 2 hours. Am I just being a whinge?

You could go up to 3 eggs in your omelette and bulk it up with veg. Mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, peppers? You could also eat more tuna at lunch? It doesn't matter whether someone else thinks you're being a whinge or eating too much. You won't stick with it if you feel hungry or deprived. Basically fill up with lean protein and speed fruit or veg, eat sensible amounts of carbs and use your syns for treats or sauces. Soup will fill you up even though it's not really soup weather, chopped veg and houmous type dips in the fridge (blitz a roasted red pepper with canned chickpeas and garlic salt and lemon juice) You've used 2 HEBs today with the ryvita and the toast, so you'll need to syn one of them. (Am sure you know, but just in case) Make sure you're drinking enough water, sometimes you think you're hungry but you're actually thirsty. Good luck

Thanks shoofly, your right it probably doesn't matter what anyone thinks. It's just I think I have lost sight of correct portions etc. I love the idea of the veg dip, it sounds delicious. Thanks again

You can eat more of free foods if you want. I quite often have:

2 slices of toast with ham, eggs, cucumber and tomato for breakfast or if I want a sandwich for lunch I might have omelette with veg and ham in it and some fruit or yogurt on the side.

Lunch is usually large portion of tuna pasta salad and some fruit and maybe a yogurt. Or a sandwich instead of the pasta salad with plenty of salad and ham in it.

If I get hungry I often snack on fruit/veg/ham/eggs/yogurt. I have big dinner too which is normally either free or low in syns.

I was hungry at first so I upped the amount of food I was eating and made sure I had lots of free food for snacks. I am 1lb away from a stone award and have been doing SW for 4 weeks so far. So you can eat more but make sure you check syns and eat mainly free foods.

I think your lunch sounds a bit light. You could've added a a baked potato instead of the ryvita and it would feel more like real food tbh. At lunchtime today, I had a massive salad with 3 tandoori drumsticks. You can really fill up on free food and if you concentrate on free and speed food you'll be on the right track.

Thanks for the help, I made some sw chips for dinner and a 5% burger so I'm totally full now. Thanks for the snack suggestions, I made the dip and I will chop up some veg tomorrow to dip.

I've lost three stone with SW and kept it off for ten years and I'd be starving with that. I have four or five eggs in my omelettes, if I can't eat it all I'll leave some for later. Your lunch is a snack for me that I'd have mid morning so have a jacket potato or a couscous salad or pasta now. Don't be scared of Syns I have a few with each meal or a bag of baked crisps mud afternoon.
