So Ive got my head around the plan now and I would like to do a couple of SP days a week.
I thought this would give my weight loss a bit of a boost.
Im doing SW from home though so dont have a consultant to check with and I dont want to sabotage my weight loss so far by getting it wrong.
So am I right in saying that you can:
1)still have your healthy options but no free food.
2) each meal must be half protien half sp food (which is listed as s in the book
3) from what i can see this pretty much means each meal is just going to be meat and salad or meat and veg.

I think you've mostly got it, except you can have 2 hexB. You can have your 15 syns but don't syn free non SP food. I had lots of beans too on SP days, or eggs. Some of the websites like Pinch of Nom have an SP week diary.

Oh can you have beans too. I would have thought they were more carbs, or do they count as a heb. Ok so 2 heb one hea you can eat syns but not syn what would normally be free food.
Ive looked at pinch of nom but dont really like (or have time for their sp recipies) as eat both breakie and lunch at my desk Sad
I thought id just try it 2 days a week to help me reduce the carbs (kind of like a 5/2 sw cross diet lol)
So was thinking tom:
B) couple of boiled eggs with sliced toms and a green t
L) Chicken salad (made of s choices)
D) Mushrooms and sliced ham on toast b choice) and a chocolate koko milk carton (a)
Snax) 2 Hifi bars with a cuppa black t.
Thought i could easily do that twice a week without getting bored.

Yes the beans count as protein. I agree with you about PoN! Their website is set out horribly so they can get as many views on the promoted products! YOur menu sounds good. Don't do what I did and eat all your syns in Oreo thins!
I would say I did it early on and lost 5lb, but did it last week and lost nothing! Apparently you have to drink tons of water and it doesn't work for everyone. Im just going to cut out potatoes, rice and pasta now, drink loads of water and up my speed to 1/2 a plate rather than do SP. For me it was a lot of effort for no result!

I think if you fancy a go a SP why not try some baby steps but still on extra easy.

Reduce your carbs, particularly simple carbs such as potato and white rice, switch to bring rice or quinoa if you still need some carbs. Personally I like butternut squash which can be done like potatoes but is speed. Also increase speed to 50% for meals and see how you get on.

The bit I struggle on is no yoghurt as I normally do 50:50 quark and yoghurt in my breakfast. But it is tolerable with just quark. Some people miss the bananas or other non speed fruit.

Beans are protein, as are peas. Eat loads Smile

I like having a SP meal on normal EE days for a weight loss boost when needed ( only one HXB then, though).
