Hi, I'm thinking about taking my 11 yr old to slimming world- free to go.

Can anyone tell me more about it?

We have had a couple of young teens with their mums at SW. The consultant is very good with them. Their insight into break time 'food' (complete rubbish- pizza, donuts, bacon butties etc) had us all aghast. Apparently, kids eat at break time as queues are too long at lunch.

Temptation, peer pressure and school catering are making our kids pile on weight.

My 15 yr old son has lost 53.5 pounds since the middle of February on slimming world as a young member!
His first class- he was so nervous but they all loved him. He's surprised everyone as has so much willpower and has done an AI holiday to Cyprus this month with his dad and still lost weight.

He is a big lad, well over 6ft, size xxl men's clothes and a size 14 shoe.
I've already had to buy 2 new sets of school trousers this last term as all his clothes were falling off him. He broke up yesterday thank god!

The plan has been brilliant for him and he eats well. Also goes to the gym.

He's 2.5 pounds off 4 stones and has another 3 to lose. He is aiming to do that by the end of January.

The young members have their own booklet specifically written for them and includes what to eat it going to Nando's etc.

Ds gets weighed on a Thursday evening and then has treat night.

He also allows himself a treat on Friday night such as a Ben and Jerrys or some chocolate.

I would definitely recommend this. Ds wishes he had done it much sooner.
He looks amazing.

We have a free to go member who is one of my son's friends. He's done really well. He's lost over 3st.

He doesn't count syns or healthy extras but is encouraged to make better swaps such as wholemeal bread instead of white bread. His mum does most of the cooking and he says he really enjoys the recipes etc.
