I havent lost any weight on slimming world for the past 2 months, but I stupidly signed up for another 12 week countdown thinking it would motivate me! . I lost 1 1/2 stone in the first 6 months, which was slow but fine for me as I only wanted to lose 3 stone. I haven't put it back on, but its getting really depressing losing and gaining the same 2-3lb every week. I want to pack it in and try something else, but I dont think I can get my money back from the countdown. I was thinking, as Ive already paid and I have made some good friends in group, that I should try low carb, but still follow the rules, so broadly SP. I still need to lose weight so if I give up SW, Ill have to try something else. ( Don't say Team RF or Rebelfit, I dont like the sound of them and Im not going to do it!) Ive tried LCHF before but I found it too restrictive and I put the weight on very fast every time I deviated. Basically, my Dbro has been diagnosed as diabetic and has been put on the Diabetes UK low carb diet. Its a 10 week programme thats low carb, but he can still eat wholemeal bread, porridge etc. It sounds like SP, but with added fat. I was thinking I could do SP but use all my syns and one or both of my hexb in healthy fats. At the moment, Im using all my syns on cake, biscuits and chocolate, which I then cant stop. When I did low carb, the one thing I didnt have was a craving for sweet things for the first time in my life. Am I deluding myself or do you think it can be done? I need to look up how much fat you have to eat on a moderately low carb WOE.
