I'm new...and I feel full for the first time this week!

I'm 13st11 5'3 so a good four stone overweight. I want to get down to a healthy weight.
I started slimming world on Monday and I felt grumpy, hungry and just had food on the brain constantly. It was a real battle fighting cravings.
I've realised what my triggers are when it comes to eating eg when dp is out or the house is empty I want to binge eat. If I feel sad or annoyed I want to eat, and even more so when I have something to celebrate, even if it's just a date night out. I overeat big time and have learnt I would rather not have any chocolate at all unless it's a huge bar. A little bit is pointless to me.

Yesterday I had the mayflower curry and made my own salt and chilli chips so it felt like a takeaway. Omg it was amazing. It tasted just like the takeaway.
Today I feel really full and keep thinking I've over done it but I count my Syns and still have some spare....i had

X2 weetabix heb with soy choc milk heA

Baked potato with beans and grilled bacon

...oops.....with blackberries

Then for tea I had chilli con carne rice and salad and for pudding I had a quark yogurt thing which was free and I also had a fruit pastel ice lolly for 2.5syns and snacks were x2 packets of crisps which came to 8 syns so I've only had 10.5 syns Shock

So ready for next week now hopefully I get a good loss on weigh day.

Good luck for weigh in. It's a way of life for me now. Wish I had done it earlier. Into week 8 at target now x

Wow grovee that's amazing you have obviously cracked it. How much have you lost and how long did it take?
I find the kopperberg lights a life saver at the weekend at only 4 syns and the fruit pastel Lollys are so refreshing for the summer. Things like that will hopefully keep me on track.

Started in January 2017, have lost 4.5st. First 6 months 3st off then it was a struggle but I got there.

Come over to the support thread. We'd love to support your journey over there x

Well done for getting started! Make sure you’re having plenty of speed foods and protein, fill yourself up!

I was exactly the same weight as you (I’m an inch taller). I got to target just inside my ‘healthy’ weight range in 8 months. It can be done Smile

If you struggle with binge eating, I highly recommend Brain over binge by Kathryn Hansen. It’s helped me massively.

I started again last week and have been fine but not massively hungry so often not having dinner. Got on my scales and I don't think I've lost anything ( weigh in tomorrow). Any advice would be good. Feeling fed up

Groovee · 14/05/2018 17:20

@Zazu44 I never weigh outside of class as it would mess with my head.

Zazu44 · 14/05/2018 17:31

Ive had an awful day you know the one where you just want to eat everything and I had some rubbish. Now I don't want to go to weigh in tomorrow.
