I have stopped because it was getting ridiculous. I have very healthy meal then stuff myself with sugary treats in between. I have not switch off buttons, I have been known to wolf 2 boxes of guylians in 1 week end. I love candies too. So enough is enough. Would love to hear from people who stopped refined sugar too. Are you feeling better? More energy ? Lost weight (I have a couple of stones to lose) Thank you :)

I'm EXACTLY the same. Are you doing slimming world then @Gibralterlady?

I find I have to have no sweets/ chocolate at all because I have no off switch. One is not enough to hit the spot and frankly neither is 10.

I've lost 3 stone. I've another half a stone I want off. I'm in size 10 clothing now.

I felt quite unwell when I gave up the sugar despite doing so gradually, then realised it's just easier for me to not have it at all. I now feel tons better.

I recently had cake etc on my son's birthday which turned into 3 consecutive evenings of eating far too many Buenos and yet more cake. I seriously regretted it afterwards and felt sluggish for a couple of days after.

I just feel better generally for not having it. I've given up caffeine as well (as i decided that was just another stimulant i could do without)

I think it's just a case of finding what works for you, then sticking to it. Which can be easier said than done but in my experience it's well worth the battle.
