So I'm a fiver down for nothing. Help! Apparently I will get it next week... sick of being chunky

Did she why you didnt get them? Message her and ask for them, how are you going to follow the plan otherwise?!

Groovee · 12/04/2018 07:04

That's odd. You normally get the full pack on your first group. I'd message her or SW and ask why.

KendalMintCakey · 12/04/2018 09:58

She's giving me them next week. I've known her a decade and to be fair she will give me them but...do kinda need them now... I went on Pinch of Nom and got a meal plan...any suggestions on food...

Pinch of Nom Beef Stroganoff, bacon, mushroom and pea pasta, Cuban Beef are all good!

Slimming eats cheeseburger pasta is lovely too.

I have things like cereal, or scrambled eggs/omelette for breakfast.

Soup/salad or maybe a pasta/noodle dish for lunch.

Then pasta, roast, risotto, baked potato for dinner.

My cheese is usually 40g of cathedral city lighter or 3 babybel light or 250mls of semi skimmed milk with a tea spoon of choc shot to make hot chocolate.

I'm a target and it has worked well x

FrozenMargarita17 · 12/04/2018 16:40

Diet Coke chicken is a good go-to meal!

KendalMintCakey · 12/04/2018 21:47

yeah I'm using pinch of nom on a budget. Need a bigger car after third child lol. We have a family 1 but want one for myself x

your not missing much cococola chicken, Franken food, spray light, pasta shots (shudder) and Muller yogurts.

Kezzie200 · 13/04/2018 08:23

Make 1/3 to 1/2 of your plate salad, veg or fruit.

Eat porridge (40g) with a sensible amount of lower fat milk. Avoid bread, butter, oil cheese, chocolate and other high fat stuff this week.

Eat rice or pasta. Eat meat with fat (if any) cut off. Avoid sauces this week unless you make them yourself and know they aren't laden with oils, calories etc.

Eat fat free yogurt. I buy Greek style from Aldi which is lovely.

Once you get your book you'll see what syns etc you can spend on extras.

Maybe she ran out of materials? Surely you.must have one of the books - the one with your weight card and weight table written in it?

OwlinaTree · 13/04/2018 08:59

moomin why are you reading the slimming world topic if you don't approve of it? Your comments are unnecessary and inaccurate.

KendalMintCakey · 13/04/2018 23:37

I've nothing and it's actually torqued me off. Yes I know roughly how to do it. I'm going to ask for a week free tbf. Absolute piss take as I don't know lowest syns etc

Where did they record your start weight of you didn't get a book Confused

Headwobble · 14/04/2018 19:10

She should not have taken your money!

Moominfan · 14/04/2018 19:21

stuck my two pence in. went once and it was horrifying slimming couple of the year were both massively over weight after several years attendance. Greek yogurt and avacodas were demonized as high in syns. whereas low fat food was really encouraged. no mention of diabetes or sugar content

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 16/04/2018 18:33

@Moominfan Greek yogurt is syn free if it's fat free?

YerAuntFanny · 16/04/2018 18:56

I think that was Moomins point Milky.

Fat free (i.e. high refined sugar) is promoted whilst healthy fats such as avocado, nuts and full fat dairy products which are better for our bodies are "synned".

Although that said I manage to follow SW whilst eating mostly whole foods, I eat avocado regularly and have lost almost 4st (albeit it's taken me a year!) so it can be done and they are promoting healthier habits to help lose weight rather than dictating what you must eat.

I don't think going once and taking suggestions as gospel qualifies people to sneer at SW.

Tjsweet · 16/04/2018 21:58

My wife is a SW consultant and is horrified materials weren't provided. The SW way can be a bit tricky for the first few weeks (getting your head around free food, speed food and syn's), even with the materials, so you should definately get a free week. Best of luck moving forward as the plan does work Smile

KendalMintCakey · 17/04/2018 15:42

I doubt I've lost any s*ing weight this week. Psd off! I did try but have failed... yeah is a bit crap tbh

OP posts:
KendalMintCakey · 17/04/2018 15:43

Does your wife want a new member lol?

OP posts:
KendalMintCakey · 17/04/2018 15:47

I'm a bit over-tidy. I've three kids and anything I don't need goes. So no books :(

OP posts:
raisedbyguineapigs · 19/04/2018 22:31

Is there another group nearby you could go to? If you've started off so disappointed, it might be better to start again somewhere else- ask for your joining fee back and your first weeks subscription and go somewhere else.

KendalMintCakey · 20/04/2018 08:28

I lost and I have books now

OP posts:
KendalMintCakey · 20/04/2018 08:29
