I have just joined slimming world. I currently weight 10 st 4/5 and am 5'6. I would like to lose just over a stone to take me close to 9st. I thought that once I had joined I would get an update of how much I should be eating, how many syns etc (starting to get to grips with what they are), but there doesn't seem to be any info like that? I am doing it online as I live abroad, can anyone help me with what I should be doing/eating? Portions etc? Or direct me to where this personalised info might be?

Any help much much appreciated!!

you can eat as much free food as you like as long as a third of your intake is super free food, your healthy extras are weighed and measured and your syns are properly worked out.

Your portion size is up to you and your appetite.

Visuals help like the one below.

You get 15 syns a day at your weight.

Come over to the support thread and people will answer your questions.

I've always been told to eat until you feel full. I sometimes think people think unlimited rather than eating enough to fuel your body.

Hey flipper, welcome.
Have a good read through your book to get an idea of all the free, speed and synned food.
At your height and weight you should have between 5-15 syns a day. Some people save syns for the evening and use them on alcohol or sweets/chocolate etc.
I try and have quark, yoghurt and frozen fruit for breakfast (I make it up the night before),
Lunch in usually something like couscous and salad. Maybe something like curry loaf (google it - you can make it and have it cold), scotch eggs are good SW style.
Then in the evening, I'll have something like a jacket spud, side of carrots and maybe a quorn burger or SW burger.
I try and snack on fruit or veg.
Check out pinch of nom and two chubby cubs, both have great recipes.
Also join your groups Facebook page, that should also give you ideas.
Good luck and have fun with it.
