My new man is on slimming world

Hi, I have recently met a lovely new man, who joined slimming world at the beginning of the year, so far he has lost 2 stone, and I am so proud of him.
However I have never cooked for him before, and in a couple of weeks he is coming to stay for the weekend. I would like to do a nice meal for him, but have no idea with SW what you can and can't eat. I know he prefers a carnivore diet, salads were met with a rabbit food comment. Is a meat and 2 veg type meal ok or a good old fashioned stew? I am a pretty good cook, so can do more complicated things.
He is such a lovely man, and has been so good with me I want to treat him to some special home cooking.
Thank you in advance.

Go on the official SW website and they have lots of recipes and meal planners.
Many delicious ideas to chose from.
I’m vegetarian- so can’t give you meat ideas Smile

Are you on Facebook? I’d recommend looking at the pinch of nom site for recipes, their hunters chicken is great!

Basics are low fat, lots of veg and lean meats

Don’t use oil use oil sprays like fry light, no jar sauces either

Thank you so much I will check out the website and Facebook page. I am used to the old WW before points were invented, 1000 cals per day, so this is all new to me.

OP, you could buy the SW magazine and choose some nice recipes and meal ideas.

Slimming Eats is also a good website for recipes.

I'm trying Cuban Beef from Pinch of Nom tomorrow night as it can be done in the slow cooker.

IheartCaptainHolt · 23/02/2018 18:35

The Cuban beef is delicious. DH loves it and I've made it every week since we first tried it!

Thank you all. I think I will try the cuban beef first, and a bit of exercise Grin

Check out two chubby cubs on Facebook too, the language is a bit fruity, but amazing recipes!

IntoTheFloodAgain · 28/02/2018 09:33

I’ve had this with a big portion of veg and it is the most hearty meal I’ve had on SW

I’ve made it with both beef and lamb, found it much tastier with lamb.

Sometimes the recipes in the magazine are a bit ropey, but this months ones are really good. I've cooked at least 5 things from it, which is unheard of usually for me. they have all been nice.

I most definitely recommend Two Chubby Cubs. They're friends of mine, and their food is amazing, and definitely not rabbit food! Grin
