Is extra virgin olive oil free? I don't use it to cook with but I love a drizzle on my salads! Any help would be much appreciated x

Buy the best balsamic vinegar you can afford. The one I use is £30, but it lasts for months and months, as it is so rich that you only need a drizzle.

Ive just found a spray olive oil that I think is 1/2 syn for 5 sprays. You could spray that on salad, with a balsamic dressing. I might start doing this as the vitamins in salad are fat soluble- it also makes it taste better Grin

No oil is free. As someone else said, I love balsamic vinegar on my salads! Zingy!

Isn;'t 1 tbsp of EVO a healthy extra B? It certainly used to be

Pardalis · 27/03/2018 23:06

It used to be a hex b. I would say have it and syn it and watch syns for the rest of the day. The benefit of enjoying a salad which contains fibre and vitamins etc is better than using 6 syns on something with no nutritional value.

Over the summer I will be using syns on salads all the time. BBQ and salad - what's not to like! Fat free Greek and fruit for dessert and a G&T on the side!

@Gmex31 6 syns per 1tbsp

raisedbyguineapigs · 23/07/2018 20:04

I count all oil, butter etc as 2 syns a teaspoon so 6 per tbsp. You could drizzle a tbsp over a shared salad.
