I had roast pork in slow cooker with home made gravy, juices from meat, onion and carrots and a spoonful of gravy granules, dry roast potatoes and vegetables. How many sins is that?

Did you take all the fat of the pork? What did you use to make the gravy? How much is a 'spoonful'? How many portions was it?

InfiniteSheldon · 28/01/2018 19:15

The Syns for all that is in the back of your book, at least 5 for the gravy

pilates · 28/01/2018 19:21

Yes all the fat taken off meat and a tablespoon of gravy granules. Gravy made from juices of meat, mashed up carrot and onion.

The best of bisto is nowhere near 5 syns. Last time I worked it out it was 2 syns per made up 100ml so I guess it depends which bisto you used and weather your juices were fatty. Other than thag, as long as you took every bit of fat of your meat and used fry light then it’s a free dinner, surely.

whatthelump · 28/01/2018 19:29

Just syns for the gravy granules- sure it's 2 syns per tsp

pilates · 28/01/2018 19:33

Bisto low salt granules. Sorry this is all new to me.

If you use the meat juices you should really syn them it's up to you if you want to do it roughly or 100%

pilates · 28/01/2018 19:36

Oh ok that’s what I thought.

If all the fat was taken off of the meat before cooking I personally would just syn the gravy granules.
