Weight gain

Does anybody else find they gain when they have done a lot of exercise the week before weigh in ? Been following slimming world for 6 months and never had a gain started classes and swimming and had a gain this week .. 😣

I’m Not at slimming world anymore, but it’s definitely possible that you are retaining water as a result of beginning an exercise programme, especially if you’ve been working hard and your muscles ache.

It’s also possible that exercise has increased your appetite and you’ve eaten additional calories that you haven’t needed, such is the nature of SW. It’s surprising how few calories a workout can use, even though it feels like you’re working really hard. (Saying this from bitter experience!)

Yes it's probably water retention because you have stated to exercise. Really common, try to ignore it and think of the bigger picture. Starting exercise is great for you

Thank you for replying I'm not able to go to any classes this week so shall see what the scales say still following plan this week !

Drinking lots of water and eating protein post exercise is good for your muscles x
