I went to my first class today and my consultant didn't tell me how many syns I'm allowed - should she have done? Or do I choose? Also I'm breastfeeding - does this have any jmpact? I've got 4 stone to loose...thanks for help!

5-15 syns and I think if your breastfeeding they suggest extra healthy extra choices? I've just lost 3.5 stone after my second still got half to go! Good luck!

Thank you! So you just choose how many syns to have depending on how quickly you want to lose weight?

Your consultant should have told you how many syns you are allowed. I did SW when breastfeeding and got extra healthy extras.

There isn't a magic syn number - the range is to give you a guide - one day you may have 6, the next day 13. Just depends. Perhaps the best way to think of it is that you have 105 per week (7x15) and you count down from there. It isn't a case of "have 5 if you've loads of weight to lose, but have 15 if you only have a bit". You'll find you use them on treats like choc and crisps (careful....!) but also in cooking (a bit of butter, and handful of nuts, a grate of cheese etc - all measured, of course).

You should have between 5-15 a day. I'll be honest. The more syns I have the better I lose. Was 100% one week with very few syns... gained 1lb. Following week changed and upped my syns and lost 3.5lb! My body likes it's syns 😂

I think you’re entitled to 6 Healthy Extras and at least 3 should be A choices. It’s still 5-15 syns per day.

Ring your consultant this forum can be very misleading

Faith has it right, depending on how old your baby is. I'm breastfeeding and have five healthy extras (3 A and 2B) as my DD Is now on solids.
