Hi everyone, I joined slimming world last year Feb 2017, and in the 7 weeks I was there I only lost 4lb! So as you can imagine seeing a slow weight loss put me off and I didn't go back.
I'm planning on re joining in the next few days!
I always manage to have a breakfast lunch and dinner with 1 third of speed food on the plate, i measure my healthy extras and always have my syns, I drink 3 litre of water a day and walk for an hour in the morning then again in the evening, this time around I am planning on going to the gym alongside the walking.
Does anyone have anymore tips on how to get a better weight loss this time and also what do people eat in between breakfast lunch and dinner?

Any help/advice is much appreciated Grin

I change my breakfast daily so have fruit with yoghurt when I am on an afternoon working day. Then Early lunch of an omelette, turkey rashers, spinach and mushrooms.

Other days are porridge with frozen fruit, fruit Omelette or savoury omelette.

Lunches tend to be omelette or soup or scrambled eggs with spinach and some wafer thin meat. In the summer I eat a lot of salads.

Dinners tend to be risotto/pasta/paprika pork etc.

My snacks are usually yoghurt, fruit, veg, sunbites popcorn. I like quark or wafer thin turkey to snack on x

Thank you for the replies I was thinking that maybe I wasn't eating enough with just having breakfast lunch and dinner but then maybe I'm not mixing the meals up enough

Bagachips - do you eat cheese? I used to have 2 x Babybel (full fat as I don't like low fat products) as my HE A and found if I did so I didn't lose any weight. As soon as I stopped having them the weight started shifting. My body definitely does not love cheese as much as I do.

Bagachips29 · 03/01/2018 11:03

Hi no I very rarely eat cheese unless I use it in cooking, to be honest I'm not really a fan of dairy, I eat eggs by the basket full and mostly use my head for milk for my cups of tea x

Hi Bagachips, I lost 1st 9lbs in 14 weeks before Christmas.
Things gone a bit pear shape over last weeks and I havnt been going. I'm joining again next Monday, find out how much I've put on.
Anyhow, tips: you seem to be doing everything to the book. So all I can suggest is I sometimes had a meal of say, chicken with just loads of roasted veg. So maybe, really "up" the veg. And also I never had all the syns. Maybe about 6/8 per day. Sometimes none. In between meals mainly fruit and ff Greek yogurt. Couple of raw carrots.
Btw. I do No exercise, what so ever. Walk the dog, is as much! So it works even without excercise. My meals were a lot as well. So you're really full and don't feel like snacking.

Thank you so much for the reply and well done for the weight loss that's fab! it's just really frustrating when you do everything right but don't see results isn't it? My mother in law started at the same time as me and by august she had lost 2.5st and here's me still fat haha, will take on board all the comments and hopefully manage to last longer than 7 weeks this time 😊 x

Oh yes! I cut out sugar. Like Muller lite is allowed but full of sugar. I found if I did have a Muller it set up a sort of addictive feeling that I really wanted more. So no Muller! Or any of the so called slimming biscuits and all that rubbish. Just stick with natural food as much as you can. The only thing I had that has added sugar is beans. But that didn't make a difference. Big jacket potato, cottage cheese and beans for lunch. Or bacon, 2 egg, mushrooms, beans, one slice bread, for any meal. Veg curry, made with curry powder and tomato puree then thickened with Quark.
Don't know how you feel about cauliflower, but I ate lot of that. Good luck and here's to the first stone off.

Bagachips, I could have written your first post. I joined in Sept and did everything by the book plus started running and walked miles. I lost so slowly at the start and nearly gave up. One week I was so good and 'stayed the same' Arghhh!. But small losses add up.

I ate lots of omelettes in the first weeks but found I did not go to the loo for days. Once I started cooking from scratch, camp fire stew, sweet potato and chick pea curry, Thai chicken noodles etc, the weigh came off quicker. I also swapped bran flakes in the morning for overnight oats. I made it with Skyr at first but now make it with quark. I eat half at breakfast then the rest of the jar after a meal as a dessert. I have not had mullerlight or the SW hi fi bars, I eat chopped pineapple and strawberries as a snack.

Good luck. x

I do SW and I do think that it would be slightly improved if they talked about portion sizes more.
I notice that a lot of people who join our group tend to have very small portions so yes - they might be eating the right things, but not really enough of it.
I now have a reminder in my phone to tell me to eat some fruit at about 10:30am and 2:30pm every day as I just wasn't eating enough speed food when I was only eating it with my meals.

Good luck !

ItsNYlyme · 04/01/2018 12:33

Your right Liz.
I find the more, (portion size) I eat and regular healthy snacks, the more I lose.

susurration · 11/01/2018 13:56

Are you having some sort of carb at every meal? because you don't really need that. You can have at least one meal a day as Extra Easy SP, because one thing that SW doesn't teach you is portion control i.e. how much of each thing you should eat each day. Eating, bread as your hex B for breakfast and then pasta for lunch and rice for dinner is going to be giving you triple carbs and that is a lot of calories in one day.

Up your veg intake. Try not to snack between meals.

Thanks everyone well just back from class and got a whole half a pound off so annoyed but at least it's something I suppose 😔
