Post Christmas weigh in

Went for the post Christmas weigh in today at group and I’ve put on 5 and a half pounds! Blush
I know I shouldn’t be surprised since I am roughly 50% cheese and 50% baileys at this point but it just seems so daunting trying to get back on track now.
Anyone else had to brave group yet?!

I did today, completely out of curiosity! Was very surprised at my 1.5 gain! Considering I am also 50% cheese and 50% chocolate. I think the alcohol worked in my favour by dehydrating me Blush

TheBewlayBrothers · 27/12/2017 22:47

1.5, I would have been happy with that! The lady weighing me asked “were you expecting that”?! Whether I was or not, going to have to deal with it now.

I think mine could be 10lbs or something! Too afraid to go back to WI just yet. I follow a consultant on Instagram who has just gained 12lbs.

calzone · 27/12/2017 22:58

I’m going to face the music next week.....

Ecclesiastes · 27/12/2017 23:00

I went earlier: +2lbs. I came home and consoled myself with left over Christmas pudding and thick cream.

TheBewlayBrothers · 27/12/2017 23:09

I know, I was all mock outrage on the scales and then came home and consoled myself with all the Ferrero Rocher. I only have myself to blame! Good luck next week Calzone!

I'd put on 2lbs when I weighed Xmas eve. Next weigh-in is New Year's Day. Expecting at least 4lb gain! Last Christmas I put on 6lbs between Xmas and new year. Been a bit more sensible this year though (I think/hope!!).

Lousmith · 28/12/2017 00:31

Weigh in tonight and I’m +1lbs. Was expecting a lot more due to the alcohol and the amount of Quality Street I have eaten. Glad I went though as it gives me that push for next week. Also got a free book that looks at the next four weeks, I’ll be filling it out tomorrow.

boredofmyoldname · 28/12/2017 00:40

I braved it today and it wasn't as bad as I thought, +3.5lbs BUT I didn't manage last week as we were away so over 2 weeks I don't feel so bad :o

Treated myself to a 6 week countdown and a 12 week journal to get me back in track!

Groovee · 28/12/2017 07:48

I took Holidays for 2 weeks as I only had 2 weeks off all year. Facing the music next Wednesday.

LollipopViolet · 28/12/2017 08:12

Weighed in yesterday, half a pound on. Now to get down to it as, if you’ve seen my other thread in this topic, I’ve got an ice skating dress I need to fit into by the end of February.

emwithme · 28/12/2017 08:14

I have WI in an hour. I think it's looking like (well, feeling like, in clothes etc) about 5 lbs on, but may be half a stone. Oh well.

Christmas was fun and I'll get it off in January

hashtagelfie · 28/12/2017 09:14

2.5lb gain here. Plus I gained 0.5lb the week before so hoping to loose it all over the next week. Going back to food planning, writing down everything I eat etc. I got a bit complacent recently anyway plus with syn changes etc I need to properly restart

JaceLancs · 28/12/2017 09:30

My weigh in was Boxing Day and to my amazement lost half a pound but with much more alcohol than usual and a house party NYE I can’t imagine a good result next week!

emwithme · 28/12/2017 13:40

Only gained 2.5 lbs...overall our group lost 1lb and gained 74 lbs. Only two people lost, another two maintained. Biggest individual gain was 10.5 lbs.

emmaluvseeyore · 28/12/2017 13:44

I’m expecting a big gain, but I gave up early December. I’m planning on starting properly next Wednesday when I go back to work. I’ve not been doing it properly for around a year now and need to shed a load of weight before my wedding in 2019.

Ijustlovefood · 28/12/2017 13:58

Do they charge you if you miss a week?

Groovee · 28/12/2017 15:25

@Ijustlovefood if you haven't booked a holiday you will need to pay.

skippykips · 28/12/2017 16:01

Lots! But I am assuming my scales are still drunk from Christmas. I will try again once they have sobered up and gained their senses. 2 weeks should do it!

Ijustlovefood · 28/12/2017 18:02

Groove, I currently pay weekly as I go. Does the same apply?

Groovee · 28/12/2017 18:19

Yes x

Oldowl · 28/12/2017 19:04

0.5lb on here and worth every morsel of mince pie, peanuts, pud etc.

Very relieved it was not more.

6lb total lost in group today. 4lb came from one lady who spent Christmas day with sickness and diarrhoea and has eaten two slices of dry toast since Monday. She felt completely embarrassed when she got 'slimmer of the week'!

There was no mention of how much we had all put on. 74lb (!!) that is hilarious, emwithme.

Ijustlovefood · 28/12/2017 19:27

Groove what happens if you want to leave?

Groovee · 28/12/2017 20:05

You just leave. Your consultant may text you but some don't. You can rejoin whenever you want.

MapMyMum · 28/12/2017 20:44

Hope you dont mind if I join in? I was up 0.5lb so very pleased with that, but I need to organise myself more so I dont keep putting on
