Is it worth joining SW online only?

As the title says.

Due to work and DP's shifts I can't really go to meetings so I'm thinking of joining online.

Is it worth it? Is the secret really in attending the meetings and having someone to be accountable to? Or is online just as good?

I've lost 5 stones doing it online. Never been to a meeting. I'm lucky that I've got lots of support from my family and I weigh in religiously at the same time every week (unless I'm away). It's really key, even if you've had a bad week.

I think it depends on your personality. I can't get to groups (I had been planning) so have been using second hand books and this forum. But I've been described as 'bloody minded' so I don't think the group would matter for me. If I stop losing weight I can join. Statistically groups do work better. But we've formed a weigh in club at work, different diets, different aims, you only pay if you gain. It focuses the mind. Definitely have a weigh in time religiously (we email in if we are off work)

I do it myself.
You've just got to find some good ways to motivate yourself.
I have set my own targets.
Example I want to be 11 stone by my friends wedding on 30/09/17 once I've ticked that off my next goal is to be 10 stone 8 by Halloween etc etc
Small goals rather than a big one.
