Possibly a very stupid question about snacks

I've done SW years ago when it was Red and Green Days. I'm thinking about joining again but the new plan is a bit confusing.
I understand the part about how to plan your plates for meals.
But my question is, are you allowed snacks? If so do they have to be speed foods only?

You are allowed snacks. Ideally they should be speed or free. But it could be your HE or syns.

Yes, you can have snacks.

Quark, carrot sticks, fruit, crisps, popcorn or yoghurt is what I have. Also make things like HEB waffles, chips, Ryvita.

I struggled to get my head round have red day and green day stuff on my plates but I've lost 3st 3.5lbs.

Thanks both, very helpful. I think I'll be going to class next week.

Dh has lots of things like gherkins, cold roast chicken, ham, satsuma or apples as snacks. He also likes falafel but that's not free. Low syn value though.

Pickled onions are a favourite of mine too x

I don't think I've ever had quark. Is it like 0% fat fromage frais?

Boiled eggs I find really filling. Cooked chicken, ham and fruit

Groovee · 12/08/2017 17:29

I put some sweetener in quark but a girl at my class uses an options sachet.

Groovee · 12/08/2017 17:29

Oh it's thicker than fromage frais.

caremummy · 13/08/2017 20:49

And my group swear by frozen muller lights with an options sachet (2 syns). I've yet to find a no dairy alt.

Miller lights trigger my reflux.

But would a soya yoghurt freeze? I only do it for 40 mins or so.
