Wholemeal bread & syns

Hi,

I've had two slices of Hovis Wholemeal bread today, which are from an 800g loaf and weigh 40g each. According to the Healthy extras list, I can have 60g of Wholemeal bread as my Healthy Extra B or one slice of Wholemeal from an 800g loaf (which mine is but only weighs 40g). So would you allow yourself one 40g slice or the 60g which in my case is 1.5 slices? If the latter, how many syns would there be in half a slice of Wholemeal bread (20g)?

Thank you!!

Normally if you cut the crusts off you can get it to 60g.
Alternatively a small 400g loaf is 3 slices for 60g (still weigh though to check)

Ok I'll bare that in mind for future reference, thanks. Any idea on how many syns would be in a half a slice of Wholemeal bread, weighing 20g?
Thanks x

OP, your 20g piece of wholemeal bread would be 2 syns.
If you choose to keep using that particular size loaf, have your 2 slices and count HXB plus 2 syns.
