How much did you lose in your first and second week please?

I know it varies from person to person. Just curious.

This is my 3rd time at sw. Have my first wi Friday morning. Both times pervious I lost 2 lb at my first weigh ins. Happy with that, it's a nice number. Just wondering how other people have done.

Hi, I had 1.5 stone to lose when I joined last January and I lost the first stone within 8 weeks. I followed the plan, had some cheat meals and went to the gym 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately, I lost my mojo then as I was quite happy with how I looked ... then life got in the way and for various reasons or another, I've gained that stone back. Damnit!

So after my holiday in a few weeks time, I'm using the 6 week voucher I have from transferring my online membership to group membership and get to my goal weight for Christmas!

Hi, I've only just seen this thread after looking at the Slimming World board for the first time. I had 2st, 2.5lb to lose (to get my weight to a nice round number).
I've been doing it for a few weeks now and it's ranged from 3lb to 5.5lb (the 5.5lb including losing women's monthly water weight if you follow me) and with a gain also (which I then lost).
A steady weight loss of 2lb sounds right - far better than losing a ridiculous amount then putting it all back on the next week!
How are you getting on now?

Hello. I joined two and a half weeks ago with 17lbs to lose, although I might change that to 14 as I'm not sure how I will feel at that weight! First week I lost 3lbs and second I lost 2.5lbs. My personal aim was to lose one a week as I felt that would be slow and steady enough to make it easier to maintain.

How are you doing OP?

3.5 1st week, 2.5 2nd

I joined in Jan 17 and have lost 24 lbs so far. 10lbs to go to take to 9.5 stone and it feels achievable. I feel so much better about myself and determined to get to my goal and more importantly to stay there! I lost 4lbs in my first week.

Greenteandchives · 30/07/2017 15:59

I only had 12lbs to lose and it took me 12 weeks. Most weeks were 1lb, some were half, and some 2lbs. I lost every week. I expected that slow progress, but am very pleased with the outcome and the difference it has made as I am not very tall.

Sorry, didn't answer your question. 1.5 and 0.5.

Mumof3cheeky · 06/08/2017 14:17

I put on 3 lb the first week to my shock horror (apparently during period this could happen ) then 4lb the second week and it's been steady 2-3 lb per week and just got my stone award Smile

Sorry to hijack your post op, but I'm thinking about joining again, I have one and a half to two stones to lose, but the problem is im 56 and my metabolism is just so slow nowadays. I can easily lose and regain the same few pounds endlessly. I'd really like to know what to eat, without eating too much tempting free food, somplease could anyone who's had some losses tell me roughly what to eat? Thank you, and sorry again for the hijack!

I joined originally intending to lose 22lbs in January. I'm hovering just north of losing 1 stone. I've been losing and gaining the same few pounds since April but I lost the majority of my weight (7.5lbs) in the first week which doesn't make any sense to me but there you go!

Hairq · 09/09/2017 22:43

I've done SW 4 times now and have lost 2.5lbs on the first week every time. Second week has varied from nothing to 1.5lbs. So frustrating when loads of people who need to lose a similar amount lose 4lbs in their first week and have their half stone awared by week 2, but I just accept that it's how my body does it, and there have been various weeks further in when I've lost up to 3.5lbs in a week.

flipflap75 · 13/09/2017 10:52

I shouldn't really be here (on this thread!) as I'm trying to lose 2.5st, but Hairq's post got me thinking. Whichever diet I try, I'm one of those people who lose a fair bit in the first couple of weeks, and then it all grinds to a bit of a halt, before steadying out to a pound or two a week.

Week one was 5.5lbs, week two was 3.5lbs and this week (weigh in tomorrow) is looking like 0.5-1lb at best. Guess this is where I need to keep the faith and stick with it. Hopefully next week will be a good pound off (rather than almost a pound!).

I lost 3lb on my first week and 2.5lb in my second
