Woke up full of cold and really don't want to brave the shops, there's a sainsburys local around the corner I can go to if necessary but I'm hoping the stuff I have in will be enough!

I have some diced chicken that needs to be cooked today.

Cupboard has rice, pasta, some tins (peas, sweetcorn, tomatoes, baked beans) onions, garlic, tomato puree.

Fridge is stocked with salad stuff, bacon, mushrooms.

Any ideas?

I could just do chicken, rice and veg but hoping for something a bit more flavoursome. Thanks in advance!

Do you have any curry spice mixes? Or chilli flakes?

A strange type of paella?

Fry off chicken, garlic and onions add mushrooms then stir in the rice add stock and tinned tomatoes then cook until rice is cooked then stir in peas and sweetcorn. If you have spices add paprika

:)

Bacon and mushroom pasta. Chop any fat off the bacon and chop up. Fry the bacon and mushrooms in fry light. Add tinned tomatoes, garlic, mixed herbs, oxo cube if you have it, mix, add 1/2 pint of water and simmer until water is soaked up.

Add to pasta x

Ooh lots of ideas. Thank you! I've got no chilli flakes. Currently have mixed herbs, oregano, garlic granules, paprika, beef and chicken stock cubes, onion gravy granules and salt and pepper. Must stock up!

Have you got peppers, fresh tomatoes, onions, maybe a bit of courgette? If so roast a tray of veg off for about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and maybe a bit of chilli.

Cook some pasta. When your veg is done sprinkle with some cheese from your A choice or syn it, squirt a bit of tomato puree on your veg and cook for a few more minutes.

Then combine the cheesy veg and pasta and you have a roast veg pasta dish. I used mozzarella cheese on mine the other night and it was gorgeous. Add some salad to your plate for extra speed.

Leave the cheese out if you like. You could add either chicken or diced bacon if you fancy. And use any veg that cooks at a similar rate. It's yummy!

Do you have any flour? You could make flat bread pizza. Really easy flat bread recipe then top with any combination. It's my go to use up recipe. www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/quick_flatbreads_43123

Do you have eggs? Soy sauce? How about egg fried rice? I'm sure there's a SW version. Few chilli flakes should help your cold too.
