Sweet potato toast - have you successfully made it?

Sounds great but I've heard you just end up with warm slices of raw sweet potato?

If you've done it, any tips before I try it?

Ive not done it, but I'd imagine it's like doing potato waffles in the toaster where it'll need a few goes to cook.

Bloody wonderful. Don't buy the small sweet potatoes in a bag, get big ones which will mean slices are size of small bread. Cut slices with sharp knife about 8-10 mm. put your toaster on medium. Keep toasting until done. Mine takes about 10 mins all in all. Then pile on the freebies! My favourite is minty courgette shavings and poached egg with quark! Yum!

Marking place for more tips...poached egg...yum

Place marking too!

Could you just grill it? 10 mins of toaster action sounds like hard work (for me and my toaster!)

I have also grill! Have to watch like a hawk and it tends to burn a bit more and not cool inside

*cook inside
