Not wanting me to get weighed?

Last year I did really well at SW, lost three and a half stone and won several group awards.
I stayed at target until six months ago when I was diagnosed with a serious life limiting illness. As a result I have been unable to work and have done little exercise. This has meant that I have put a fair bit of weight back on but I've still been trying to weigh in once a month or so when I am up to it. When I arrived this week the consultant approached me and said that I didn't have to weigh in if I didn't want to Confused. I said that I am doing it for myself as I still want to stay motivated and do my best in the circumstances. After I was weighed she then approached me to see how I'd done (a small gain). I get the impression that since I have been gaining weight she would rather not have me on her figures. This has upset me as I was a social club member and have been very involved previously. I don't feel that I want to go any more Sad

Do consultants get penalised or something if members put on weight?

It's not about her figures, it's that it's unethical to charge people for just weighing if they're not losing weight.

So she can offer to move your target or for you to come to group for the support but not weigh until you're in a better position to be losing.

There are no penalties though other than slimming world checking in on what's been done to help that member.

Doesn't sound like she's explained it as well as other consultants though.

Thanks, that's helpful. No, she didn't explain anything at all. Guess I'll stay away for a bit until I can start losing again.

See, I'd think she's being conscious of your illness and not wanting to put undue pressure on you. If you've been there a while, are you friendly?

Definitely ask her before you make as decision to stop going.

There was a big SW meeting recently where consultants were told to not charge for people who just weren't losing.... that's how I understand it anyway. Something along those lines
