I'm really struggling. My inner voice is saying i can't loose weight cos I'm too old, the kids are too young, husband works away etc etc etc, i could rhyme off excuses till the cows come home!

But I'm fat! Out of breath and feel shit about myself.

I have no support here at home as i am a "quitter"

i would live a slimming buddy or buddy to help with moments like this when motivation is low.

i sound like a self pitying looser, i promise I'm not really..

thanks peeps

PS changed username as DS and DM are on here and know my other persona..

not at all

what about a small number of syns on a thursday and then indulge in a few drinks on fri or sat?
treats are important

I am staying away from my trigger foods - crisps
and I can not seem to have just one beer il go for ten so instead I pour a nice glass of wine and savour it

Hi I'm joining a new class tomorrow done it a few times before but then give up. I'd love sw buddies. Got about 7 stone to lose. Fed up being this big looked in mirror other day and it was like it wasn't me any more. I'll check in once started, good luck everyone

Hi Everyone, can I join in please. I go to slimming world class but I am really struggling. I walk every day, I am a childminder so easily cover approx. 5 miles a day during the week. I don't drink enough and do try to have more water. Ideally if I lost a stone I would be chuffed to bits

Can I join please?

I started sw in April 15 and lost 2 stone 4lb so far but I haven't been to group since September.

I suffer from MS and have a young family and I just couldn't find the energy to go anymore once ds started school as it's so hectic in the evenings

I really really really do need to get back on it, weighed myself this morning and have put on 3lb since I stopped which isn't awful but I know it can't continue. Currently 15 st 12 and my end target is 12lb 7 which is a healthy bmi.

I want to get under 15 stone by Xmas so need 2lb a week to get there.

Today's gone well
A = 35g grated light cheddar
b = wholemeal toast

Syns - 4 so far (milk )

Hello, as you can tell by my name I am not a mum but a dad. Sorry if I'm not allowed here lol. So my dw suggested I join mum's net, as I want to lose weight and could really do with some support and help. I'm not fat but a bit podgy. But at 6ft 5 I guess I pull it off well. I'm looking at doing the 30 day shred and was wondering if any of you ladies had tried it and what were ur results if u don't mind me asking

Hi there,

I'm new to Mumsnet but not to SW... I was a member this year Jan-Aug and lost about one and a half stone in total but since Sept group has been clashing with college (training to be a counsellor) and without attending group things have been going the wrong way... Now with Xmas behind me I'm thinking of joining online but would really love someone to keep in touch with for mutual support / motivation Smile

Anyone else thinking of joining up online?
