I'm so confused about this plan!

I've finally faced up to the fact that I need to take some action to lose the last 1.5 stone of my baby weight.

Lots of mums on the FB pages I use recommended Slimming World so I joined up online.

I'm so very confused about how to work out Syns! I can't seem to find out how many I can have Confused

Could anyone direct me to the relevant area of the website where I could find out more about the Syns and how they're calculated?

If it's relevant I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 13 stone.

TIA.

5-15 syns for everyone. You choose how many within that range you wish to use

Thank you flop Smile I was confused because it says "you may be allowed more Syns" in the material.

Do you choose just 1 Healthy (a) Extra and 1 Healthy (b) Extra per day?

I'm finding it surprisingly easy going so far!

Yup. One of each healthy extras.
It's a great plan to be out and about because so many foods are allowed you don't have to spend all your time looking things up.
I've found the 1/3 plate thing key. So just keep an eye on that and I'm sure you'll be well on your way. I've lost nearly six stone in eighteen months. Good luck!

Yes, I had success with Weight Watchers back in the vintage points days but I don't think I have the mental energy for all that counting! I've 3 kids under 3 so I need something quick and straightforward.

Oh wow, 6 stone weight loss is fantastic and really inspiring! Well done to you!

Just to say if your breastfeeding you get more healthy extras because you need more calcium...

Thanks ickle, I finished breastfeeding DTs about 3 months ago so no extra nibbles for me Smile

Make sure you have at least 5 Syns a day, you could have free food for all your meals and save your Syns for treats like chocolate.
I tend to,avoid bread and have hifi bars as my HexB
I don't always manage my HexA, which seems to be ok.

As a little extra help, in the general way, syns are 20 calories to 1 syn. This can't be used in meals that have free food elements but chocolate/crisps/wine can all be calculated that way.
