Sweet potatoes

Are sweet potatoes free? I've not done SW for 8 years and know it's all changed now. I remember vaguely extra easy, red and green days but can't remember if they class sweet potatoes as same as potatoes or a root veg.

Yes they are free on extra easy same as potatoes but can't be counted in your 1/3 superfree that you're supposed to have with each meal (they don't do red/green days now)

As far as I know - yes

Yes, sweet potatoes are free, just not a speed veg.
I use Aunt Bessie frozen sweet potato jackets, which are free, too.

Mmmm, sweet potatoes. Me and DH are low carbing, so have replaced regular potatoes with sweet potatoes in almost all situations where wedges, mash, fries or roast are appropriate.

I use butternut squash instead as its a speed food. If you can't be arsed preparing it they now sell it pre-chopped and frozen in morrisons now
