Want to cry at old photos

Hey!

I've lost nearly 3 and a half stones since starting SW in Jan. I'm a stone away from target. I just wanted to say now I look back at older photos of my fatter self and want to cry. I wasn't taking care of myself. I've been overweight for 10 years and only now felt ready to sort myself out. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Diamond, don't be hard on yourself.
I have felt like that, too, wishing that I'd done something sooner about my weight, but we do it when we are ready, and you're doing really well now.
Your weight wan't the only thing that that mattered about you in those photos: you were the same good person.
Look forward, now.
Well done so far, and hope you're soon at your target.

Diamond well done on losing the weight! I felt like you did for a long while - particularly about our wedding photos as we were both big in those. I made peace somewhere along the way and now I look at old photos and see the joy they capture. My self worth and my value isn't defined by my size, but by my actions. I have to properly remind myself of that every day but it helps me see the happiness rather than the fat Sweary.

I agree, look at old photos and wish I'd acted sooner but chough and sweary godmother are right and we do it when we are ready. Well done and hope you get to target soon

But you've done it! Well done you, not to sound patronising. Don't beat yourself up. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, as they say x
