Good fish pie recipe??

Anyone got a good fish pie recipe? Made the luxury one off the website last night and it was vile! Watery and tasteless. Preferably a cheesy one. Just started SW and needing more dinner ideas.

Are you after a particularly "slimming" recipe?
It's not particularly cheesy but I like the Jame Oliver one. I'm not sure how fattening it is, though he makes a pea puree to mix with the mash (so that cuts down on calories a bit) and he adds loads of veg to the sauce which can't be bad. It's also really easy to make because you cook the fish in the milk that you use to make the roux so less faffing about than normal. I just try and make a good pie but cut down on my portion size.
recipe here.
HTH but sorry if I have wrong end of stick and you want a calorie counted recipe!

Actually, thinking about it, there are some but not "loads" of veg but I add more in ... .

I made a homemade fish pie with my usual recipe (from BLW book but with dairy free milk and butter) and counted the syns - it was 13 syns for the whole pie, so was only 4.5 syns per portion. I prefer for my food to taste normal and just count the syns for it rather than use substitutes and it be rank.

I made the luxury one also (if it's the one with the boiled eggs in) and it was awful! Ended up having a mouthful and binning the whole thing.

Yes that's the one. So disgusting, what a waste of good fish! Haven't tried another one yet!

There's a great one in Ministry of Food book (Jamie Oliver). Some cheese but rest is free I think. Easy to make as well
