confused about syns - please help!

How do you know how many syns are in things when different places say different things?
Slimming world lifeline says that Linda McCartney vegetarian meatballs are 3.5 syns for 4 meatballs, whereas a fb group called syns allowed which get their info, bang up to date from SW, say it's 0.5 Syns for 4 meatballs! I'm confused.

SYNS allowed say to use SW site for accurate syns - recipes change over time and SW is the most up to date.

Syns allowed are wrong stop using them just use the website
