Fry light vs. pure vegetable oil spray

I was going to buy fry light but for half the price tesco had pure oil sprays- 2 cals per spray opposed to 1 cal in fry light. If I use sparingly do you reckon it's still free?

Also those who use fry light- is it just one spray that's free? I've only fried mushrooms in my oil spray so far and needed 2.

As long as you don't go mad, spray oil will be absolutely fine. I avoid all the artificial crap that SW suggests and stick to the free real food including an oil spray and still lose, as long as I aren’t going off plan with too many syns due to too much white bread, booze, cake, crisps etc.

SW isn’t a magic spell that has to be followed to the letter to work, it’s simply a calorie/fat/sugar controlled diet, so an extra few calories due to using normal oil instead of frylight isn’t going to matter a jot.

I agree. I bought Tesco rapeseed oil spray as I think the frylight has a funny smell and for one extra calorie per spray, I can live with that.

Nice one thanks both. I'm the same Barbara, I'd rather have a tiny bit of real oil over whatever else is in Fry Light or the likes and sweetener makes me feel sick, no sugar is tastier than fake sugar.

Spray oil is 7 sprays for half a syn. I much prefer it too and the Filipo Berrio olive oil spray.

I've tried the tesco sunflower oil spray and I'm impressed, I haven't synned it because I don't use that much.
Frylight has ruined all my tefal pans!!

Filippo Berio oil is 1/2 syn for 7 sprays :) We had some in our raffle prize this week with some ASDA Extra Special Marabel Potatoes, which apparently taste like they have butter on without adding anything!

I agree about the fry-light though, we had a fry up this morning and the tomatoes had a funny taste..
